any of u who wanna put top box ... and considering the original yamaha one... think again... it looks cool and its dam solid, but after getting that ...u cant put side pannier racks...plus its dam heavy.... wanted to put HB side panniers and shop say must mod here mod there.... either go w the whole set of HB or GIVI.... mine looks absolutely awefull with the yamaha rack and the "ah boy" $10 per piece brackets... but it works...so i will use for now!

I use the Yama original bcos it's solid. Few years down the road it will not shake. I don't intend to fit side panny. I've seem many shaky boxes on the road and even seen box fall off half way. If u want use HB or Givi u have to maintain it properly. But I do agreed Yama rack looks abut too long.

Isn't brake hose universally suitable for all sort of bikes? Just a matter of its length and color?

That's the problem, the length must be correct especially steel type as it is not flexible.

Hmmm not sure if all the bike shop have to right tools to trim the hose length?

LOL, cos mine came with "extra", that's where u'll find some big "U" at the hose mid length/end.

As long as it dun kin when u turn it's ok, else the brake fulid can't flow properly u might loss ur braking ability.

Same thought I had abt the Yamaha top bpx rack. The pannier brackets will not fit. I will be going for the full GIVI setup. Top box first, panniers end of the year

I dun gurantee, best u check with them directly. Most shop dun include insurance as it varies too much. COE wise should be ard 1.5k.

SO far I find it good, but dislike the routing done by previous owner.

XJ6 fetch around 16k? Seem quite close to FZ8... now think again are CB400SF kind of "overprice" for a 400cc?

comfy not much diff except xj are much heavier. Pick up wise xj is 600cc wat do u think? But xj is a high rev bike, if u are thinking of riding below 5k rpm, forget abt it.
