I wish to tag along bt had to work bro coz I gt irregular working hr n off. Hoping to meet some diver 6 guys bt to no avail coz the forum seem quiet btw. Any fb tat I cn add for the diversion 9. To keep updated for ya supper or pumpet session

You also downgradin bike huh? Im currently riding cbr1100xx, mindset 80% on changing to the diversion juz waiting for the shop to open today ..:)

 

Heart still not completely there tho, have been riding the blackbird for almost 4yrs.... Many memories up touring in msia. But bike more than 10yr old, road tax increasing every year till 150% burning a hole in my pocket.... Lets jus hope i dont back out last minute and buy myself a new windscreen for the blackbird instead..... :p

 

But i think the diversion is quite a bike.... Watch out this space, may be a new xj6 rider soon.... :)

 

Frankly, i was in your stage for a long time 8 months plus actually (TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL), i had my FJR since 2007 too so had been too comfortable with everything it does, ease of the panniers/smooth shaft driven/long hauls without problems/Visor rises to occasions/Suits my large sized frame and the touring capabilities which had me blown away for a couple of good years,...But considering the age of the bike/Road tax/Fuel wastage/Suspension wear and tear/ABS Brake system recovery/Engine and Electronic overhaul and the re-issue of COE in 2013. i think i kinder decided it's best i get something new and alot more suitable.

 

So it's official now, been riding the new sleek machine since the 13/01/2011 after a long tug-of-war on my Number plate retention and bidding. The new baby Looks and feels good, just that i've got to compromise it's kinder silent for a 600cc (maybe aft the Run-in can consider something aftermarket) and currently due to the running in-period, it's a killer as I used to travel on the regular roads at 90km/h at least. Now i need to keep it under 5800r/min (in the manual) or safer to be below 4. Which only provides 80 max...But in time, i'm sure she'd be able to pull longer, but frankly, it's starting to grow on me...(obviously ridding in between moving lanes is amazing since i had my fat ass FJR, never was able to do that)

The most tough time will be running in period, it's killing.. But once after that, bring the rev above 5k not so bad. Now most of the time I ride btw 5 to 7k

 

I so agree with this part, i've still got 1000km to go before i'm done with low-end speed..Grrrr!!!

Can someone enlighten me on how many km can the bike travel on reserve?

 

Tried it till 20km but any readings more than that?

Hav done 75. Km on reserve then push up yhe slope. Well 60 km time too look for petrol kiosk. Btw the other day a white diversion park just opposite me wit a hd side box n arrow exhaust anyone frm here?

Thanks for the information guys, been afraid to look beyond 30km but if it looks like it can hold up to 60Km then it does save alot of fuel...Comparative to my monster FJR this baby is way too economical, Sweet Ride so far, oh i love it when it hits 140km/h and holds it up, Overall, performance is awesome...i'm lovin it, the pick-up is one one that makes me go weak in my knees, makes me feel like i've gotten back on a dirt-bike.

has anybody set up 2 side box and 1 top box on their xj6? can share roughly how much is the price? intend to get a xj6 and set up 2 side and 1 top box for touring purposes.

Hi guys,

 

Just got my black baby and running in now. Keep about 5k rpm (90/km/hr) for running in.

 

Must say, its quite a "silent" bike, almost like a upsize super 4...

 

Also, temp hovers about 95'c - 100'c on 6th gear at 5k rpm, normal?

 

On the whole, great bike, esp the exhaust... well positioned!!!

 

Look forward to any possible outing/gathering
