i am heading to penang next week. i hope you kind people can advise me on the place to go in penang or any good place to stay in peneng.

 

any place to stay in penang island georgetown ?

I normally stay in Georgetown.

1. Oriental Hotel (cheap cheap and got some pubs nearby).

2. Also the Sunway Hotel Penang (lots of food stalls besides the hotel).

Place to visit?

1. Kek Lok Si temple. Got 1 section must pay rm2 to go in. If Buddhist, worthwhile to pay.

2. Snake temple. Got snake shows on weekends.

3. Tropical fruit farm. Penang durian season in Jul/Aug I think.

4. Ferringhi beach Pasar Malam at night.

5. Gurney Drive food stalls. Can also shop and watch movie at Gurney Plaza(just next door).

6. Thai and Burmese Temple (quite near Gurney also).

7. Penang Hill. Nothing much up there but go Penang don't visit 1 time very wasted, right?

 

Others... must explore on your own liao.

Penang Island, also known as Pulau Pinang, is a beautiful holiday destination known as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, because of its rich colonial heritage and colourful cultures.There is lots of places to visit,lots of attraction to you can easily the beautiful beaches like Teluk Bahang,Pasir Panjang ,Tanjung Bungah or Batu Ferringhi Or other beautiful attractions are The Penang Hill,Penang Botanical Garden ,Butterfly Park ,Tropical Fruit Farm ,Bukit Jambul Orchid or the Penang Youth Park ….All these destinations are really you musrt to see if you are really want to get the real taste of the nature....Its really world beautiful destination......I think best destination for the Honemoon purpose also...!!!

Lots of things and not to miss attractions are there at penang and one should not miss out these.
