how long can the GL1500 engine last??

becoz i know the model very old, confirm rider had ride far distance..

The Goldwing's engine if cared with tender loving care should last you many long years of riding time. Love the wing with good EO, and diligently replace necessary parts due to wear and tear and she will served you well :)

In U.S., many GL1100 & GL1200 still on the road.

Like FJRider said, take good care of the bike, it will last a very long time. :)

Btw, saw this GL1500 year 2000 for sales.

If the current batch of new 2012 run out, is it true that the next shipment can be at least 6 mths later?

Good question!!! I thought the 2012 are all sold out !!! I do not think that there is a specific time. It would all depends on how aggressive BS is and of course the demand here ....

anybody ever change your shocks to after market ones?

I know of some GWS members using progressive shock absorber on their wings but I have personally not tried them

By right after changing after market shocks, you get better stability especially during braking and cornering. I did not change mine

Resale white colour GL1800 will be difficult to find, not many white wing in the market.

GL1800 as agile as ST11. Moving between vehicle is not a big issue, of course not to compare with smaller bikes.

For new GL1800, MAH or Loois, where else. :)

I previous ride st1100 and kawa concours but goldwing looks huge, any chance to move through between cars?

If a kawa concours can go through, GL1800 no prob. New, can check out M1 motoring. Look for Xiao long. Price better than some shops.

Your in luck. Because this is my 1st time reading this thread PLUS I happen to be at Teo's Spray for regular service. They have a white Goldwing.

Bro, by the way, where is Teo's Spray located? Thinking of Spraying my GW to Pearl white but wonder what will be the damage ($$$)?

How does it works and can it be fitted on any older GL1800 models? Pls enlighten.....

From the website, it says fits all GL1800 from 2001 to 2012. You can check more on the centramatic website or read the reviews on wingstuff.com

Basically, it does the wheel balancing while on the move so you can remove all the weights that you usually used to balance the wheels when a new tyre is fixed.

OLD NO GO, NEW NO COME.

Really like the GW very much. Would have even love it more if i was allowed to buy a new one and had it my color of choice ( that is Pearl White). BUt one should not complain too much, cos the 2nd hand one i got has no major issues at all. Only some cosmetic touch-ups and some tinkering here and there. The price i got it for is at market rate and my wifey will never allow me to buy the 2012 at 55K. Ouch!

So, thanks guys for the input and will consider if by end 1st quarter whether company gives me a good bonus or not then i will make a decision. MY present bike color is titanium brown and is not that bad at all.

Also there still many after market stuff than one can desire for....(like centramatic balancer, fork brace and lots of other things around).

Also, to all my fellow bikers out there:) Kong Xie Fatt Cai and have a Great Year of the Dragon. Be Prosperous, Wishes Fulfilled and Great Health!
