Very comfortable - can ride for 7 hours without backside pain, depending on individual.

Stop production - depends on who you trust, Thailand bike forums say production ceased but there are FBE plate TA200s cruising around still. Fire Edition, etc with better paintwork. These bikes will be around for a very long time as they're generally very rugged and reliable if kept well using proven Honda parts that have been around for more than a decade.

Fun to ride with good torque (surprise! do some DIY performance mods, harden up the suspension, get the sprocket size right) - but if you crave something more modern and agile, you could have a Honda Tiger too. Same engine on a lighter frame so I expect more than decent power for a 2B bike.

And 4 stroke, so get the carb settings right and 42km/l shouldn't be a problem. Unlike some newer and 'more efficient' designs, Phantoms don't fall apart when you do step on the gas.

Tigers are pretty expensive, unless you're in Indonesia (very popular there), but good Phantoms can be had for as low as $1000, sitting unused in carparks but with engine in perfect condition (never abused due to sub-90kph usage, just change the oil, let Chong @ Planet test ride, doll it up at Ah Koon).
