Standard 125z vs modded sparkModded 125z vs Modded Spark.. which is more powerful?

OK, here's the deal. No need to say which stock bike will win, coz 125z is 2 stroke mah. Now to my understanding, a 125z being a 2 stroker can go fast with a ported block/piston and a good air intake system (aftermarket exhaust like yy pang or ahm..)

But.. of coz, a good aftermarket exhaust is ILLEGAL for 125z, while spark has legal options. However, unlike 2 stroke bikes, a aftermarket pipe dun really make a huge difference for a 4 stroker.. but a spark still has big bore kit to 180cc, that short gear system thing, racing cdi and so on..

so wad do u think? standard 125z vs modded spark..

(EDIT: sorry about the title, my comp went gila)

Maybe... We gotta find out.. Thru a small 'experiment' hahah.

Air filters and backfires,

High-mounts and loud sounds.

Bro, are you suggesting something??? Your title alone could trigger some misunderstandings.... What do you mean also when you say an aftermarket pipe dun really make a huge diff for a 4 stroke??? Have you tried this?? Could you also confirm that it doesnt make a huge diff??? Where are you getting your stats?? Big bore kit to 180cc??? are you sure?? I know a few running above 200cc....

So in my opinion, you go conduct that experiment k.... Than you post the results here....

Shoya, on the track and beyond,

we will always follow your lines.

Never liked any of these something vs something topic. It will not only start people talking it will also slowly but surely destroy the camaraderie between riders. Only way to find out is just do it. Keep the results to one's self till someone ask.

I used to ride the Z for years; all I can say is Z has more raw horsepower being a 2 stroke but the Spark has a wider powerband and more torque.

When it comes to stock config, the Spark is slightly faster than the Z because stock Z's top end is not so spectacular as it's 0-100 acceleration. However, it's not so great ~ I kept my Z for 7 years and it wasn't slow at all once I got the settings and sprockets right to cruise at 120-140. The narrow powerband is not a disadvantage since there are 6 gears. Hit 7000RPM at first gear and race away leaving everyone including big bikes stunned at the initial pickup.

I don't mod my cubs so.. I'll leave it to the rest when it comes to stroking and porting. So my take is, if a stock Z is that good, I don't need a modded Spark.

However reliability wise, once I started cruising at 140 all day, things started falling apart real quick. But at more normal speeds, Z maintenence is cheap and simple.

Recently tried a modified X-1....

Omg, no power. At all. I'm used to the decisive twist and fly sensation of a 125Z passing 6000rpm.

Never ever compare a 2 stroke with a 4 stroke. Its like comparing an Aprilia RS125 against the Daelim roadwin R. :faint:

More likely the big bikes just can't be bothered by you. Unless you already told them you wanted to try pick up with them. Otherwise they just could care less.
