for me i spend around 1.1k plus

to get my 2b license...

Safest to set aside about 1k. Enough to complete the 2b course, plus repeat a few lessons here-and-there, revision, and TP.

Ride Free, Ride Hard, and Ride Safe.

Current ride:Hyundai i30 CW (Sept 2016 - Present)

Yamaha FZ1-S (Aug 2014 - Present)

Previous ride: Honda Tiger 200 (Oct 2009 - Jun 2012)

Suzuki GSR 600 (Jun 2012 - Sept 2013)

Hyundai Matrix (Jun 2013 - Aug 2016)

Agreed on 1k; you got to set aside some reserve, buy some extra practise time etc, which would make your passing on the first try easier.

Try to concentrate on all things motorcycle in the early stages; read up on the physics of motorcycles, safe riding techniques, private tuition in your free time, etc. Try to sit on some heavier bikes and get used to how they maneuver. Handling the lighter CG125 or CBF150 will be much easier then.

Once you get your research & theory right, you should be able to complete 2B under 3 months and within $800 or so.

What is meant by 'private tuition'? Hang out with veteran bikers, they'll tell you a lot of tips on handling the bike.

For the first few stages, personally I felt clutch and gear control was the challenge. So before I slept I'd sit on a chair and imagine I'm operating the gear and clutch of a bike; once you master the coordination the real thing is easy.

Later stages... should be no problem due to the bike's stability at speed, just look where you want to ride to and the bike follows. Low speed control was a bit iffy, though. Grab the tank and control with the clutch and rear brake.

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

i used about 1.5k, so a safe bet is 2k to set aside, confirm more than enough for a average joe. however if u're a blunder, maybe 3k. :cheeky:

i suggest u also plan to be free for the next 6month. try to take each lesson as close as possible, take time-off to consider what u did wrong if u fail a lesson many times.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

I passed about 7 yrs back as well. I took exactly the same number of lessons as you quoted. That's for 2B. For 2A, I took many many repeats. :(

I noticed a trend of competing with who took 2B with the least amount of money.

Therefore I hereby produce the ultimate answer:

I didn't pay a cent because I was sponsored :D

The feeling is like FREEDOM every time I mess around with the funny little CG125s and disturb other riders while waiting for the next lesson :3

Spent about $800 + $50 (for the license card). Repeated few subjects but cleared TP in 1st attempt. :cheeky:
