Purchasing a new bike from an authorised agent

Hi guys,

 

Getting a bike soon, but still i need to know some info, hope u guys can help me here.

 

How long do i have to wait for the bike to arrive?

 

Do i have to pay the downpayment on the same day i go down to the agent and tell them i want to pay this particular bike?

 

DO i pay for the road tax, insurance, and COE in the same day too?

 

I know that every agent works in different ways, but most of the time, how does it works?

You need a few weeks after downpayment.

the day of downpayment, you officially confirmed you buying the bike. the breakdown in costs should also be reviewed.sign paperwork for installment. if you're those rich fellows who pay with cash, skip this step.

ride out and enjoy.

Personally I think it's a good idea to ask for freebies before actually purchasing, but this decision is entirely up to the buyer.

thinking that only when you make downpayment then the deal is firm: WRONG MINDSET.

 

the moment you go into the bikeshop, ask for a new bike, confirm price and freebies, sign on the intention to purchase form and handover your IC for processing, the deal is already firm, be it whether any downpayment was made on that particular day.

 

if you back out out the deal without the bikeshop's agreement, the bikeshop have the right to sue you from dishonouring the agreement.

 

and it ranges from a couple of days to couple of months to get the bike out of the shop, depending on the availability on the bike.

 

2b are the among the quickest due to the low machine price, but bigger bikes usually will need to wait for around 1-3mths. again that range is dependent on how high in demand the model is..
