thanx blurr bro.... :cheer:

but how useful is the E.oil use 4 oiling the chain Stan bro??? u have tried it b4 izzit??? How izzit like??

I think should use a thinker oil.

The SAE 5w is too thin and won't last plus very dirty when the oil got thrown off the chain.

Try to use oil of SAE 40w - 90w. Best is to use the 90w. scotter oiler uses 90w. That's wat my friend uses on his Faszer 1000 40k already and the chain is still running good.

Hi all, i juz changed my engine with the Total engine oil ($4.30/bottle). Mine is a 6yr old VerS, the mechanic said i needed 3litres. is it true? i tot VerS needed only abt 2.9litre as printed on the engine cover?(got 2 other readings like 2.7 and 3.6). i find the engine smooth after the oil change(cos engine change, muz smooth wat , rite?) , but when my rpm reaches abt 5k rpm, the whole bike like very 'heavy'. i dunnoe how to describe, but juz a feeling of 'heavyness' lo. can anyone here enlighten me on this? thx!!

So cheap? Why I bother with all these Motul 300V that costs over $20 a bottle. Is there really a difference leh?

TOTAL have the best performance to money ratio unless anyone here can convience mi that by those >$20 per litre oil u can feel ur bike 500% more power or 500% smoother, I doubt so.

Many of us have used and received good feedback why not try during ur next oil change where u can save more and have a $13 oil very 2000km sound good right? Dont tell mi those >$20 oil can perform better than fresh semi syn oil

Up to u lah, small bike i dont mind paying $20 for a litre but hor S4 need 3 bottles so I change my oil every 2000km and 4000km change oil filter that works out less than $50 so do ur math

Just my point of view

U need 4 bottles if u change oil filter that is 3.2l but no chnage of filter is 3l so u need 3 bottles.

not that i wan to pour cold water... actually i was tricked to buy this oil by a fren... its rated 15W-50 la.. its ok for the bike... but our bikes are using the API rated SG... the total oil API is rate SJ... API SJ are suitable for catalytse engine lor.. and our bikes are not this type of engine... so its not good for our bikes... this is wat i heard from il4 lor... he's an expert in this line... so can ask him if u all got any queries.. he will be happy to ans ur qns...

So how do feel about ur bike when having this oil?

I mean unless some1 spoil or damage their bike in having this oil in their bike if not I think is ok to use.

Like many things that claime this and that but the true is u have to buy the product to verify that point, am i correct to say that?

Like many other brand and TOTAL have their oil tested and if they come out with I think is fine. They also participate in the world rally.

I read about the API SG and SJ thing and is quite true that may contain zine and some other properties that I dont remembered that is not suitable for bike. But I dont think TOTAL will made an oil that will spoil the bikes and wait for consumers to sue them or ruin their reputation.

Is true that SJ is not suitable but I dont see any1 complaining that having this oil will cause their bike to have costly repair and nothing but positive feedback.

I tried some semi syn include castrol,BP and sikoline but nothing come close to it not to mention the price, I am sorry I dont try fully syn cos my wallet dont really allow mi to do so as I am still schooling.

Hi Guys,

Just to check with you guys, for those who DIY, how do you dispose the used oil? Place it back to the bottle and left outside motorshop?

And do you guys change the oil filter yourself too? Where do you guys buy the filter for Vtec 1 from??

Thanks

For me, I pour back the used engine oil back to the 3 bottles and disposed in the bin.

For oil filter. you can get either original oil filter( but need to buy oil filter cap to open) or get knn oil filter. It is best that you learn how to take out the oil filter and insert them in b4 trying to DIY.

I think some singaporeans think that cheap things are not good even sometimes I think like that.

Thank about it,if Total cost about $9 per litre I think it will received good feedback, like I say many of the things u need to try before u come to a conclusion not I heard my friends say everytime then u conclude the that things is not good!

Like the Br***** I bought received good feedback from here but serve no purpose in my bike and dont increase mileage or power.Dont know why?Maybe bike old liao.

If that things is affortable I will try it before coming to a conclusion so that u gain an experience on that product and in ur future riding experience.

Cos I heard older bikers say semi syn is more than enough unless u alwasys stress and is there any true in it, u have to find the ans after u gain years of riding then u will have the ans urself.

There is no right and wrong in many things.

That's fine, if you've got very deep pockets. :D Silk toilet paper feels rather good, I bet.

For the rest of us, the search should be for products with the "best bang for our buck". And the definition will differ from person to person.

Ya lor many of us think like that also. But I always go for value for money and of course I am not rich as well.

So back to the point TOTAL is the value for money 4T :cheer:

Dispose of oil, always pour back to bottles and throw it back to dustbin or if u got time can bring back to motorshop u dont like and leave it outside at night

Ver S only need 2.7l without filter change.

I think u better drain out and refill with the correct amount and dont go there any more.
