To vfr9774 and HamsterZ, thanks alot for replying to my answer.

Now saving up to buy my dream bike.

HamsterZ, can you enlightened us on the process of getting an LTA Bidded number plate to put on a new bike?

How much did loois charge you for it?

Cheers to all and a nice weekend. :cheer:

Well... saving up for dream bike is a hard process.. My started in 2001 december. until now also actually not enough to pay comfortable... But at least you have something to look forward to right?

bidding of no.

1. ard F*600-700++ plates on the road, go to LTA to check this no. plate file, if new plates are out every saturday. (sorry not available online)

2. when out, submission opens on sat and ends on tues, results out on .. erm i forgot liaos.. somewhere a but a week.

3. confirm ur no is out and not taken, get a form(includes envelope) from LTA and then go get a money's order/cashiers order/bank draft from your local bank or post office.

4. fill in the form and put in the bankdraft. Go to LTA and drop your envelope in their box BY TUES! then go home wait for results.

PS : minium bid $1000, max bid : the skys the limit!

if you get the no, it is valid for 12 mths w/o a vehicle. Once after 12 mths your no is forfeited and put back on for bidding. If you wanna continue holding the no. w/o a vehicle, pay $1000 for every half a year. Transfer of the new plate to an old bike = $300 (excluding GST)

Hope these helps

erm dare not try the front.. so i tried the back.. so far i tried on dry weatuher. zam hard and the bike slows down. Noit really sure if the ABS did qiuck in, co zi felt the thumpin feel on my foot slightly only... unlike the car, very obvious.. will try again when on wet weather!!

eh.. u reply dast.. u online now? got msn, icq?

Ques to VFR riders

when you ride and release your hands.. does the bike go straight? My one slants to the left....

2 guys have told me theirs go straight. But my has ABS, which the ABS thingy and pump blah blah is on the left top part of the fairing. Could it be the weight more left bias.. or issit someother factors... tire balancing? wheel alignment?

Can someone enlighten me? thank you

wot ever the probz is... a new bike... wif all the technology n precision... shud hv gone straight if u let go of the handle bar at resonable speed..... tink this goz the same for ur CBR b4.......

CHECK IT OUT QUICK~!!

moi super4 when i 1st bot it... does goez straight.. but after god knowz when.. it started to slant to one side.. for god knowz reasons.... being trying to rectify it for 1yrplus... still cun get it done... best thing is lukz at the front n rear thread... see if the wearing bias to either side or maintainn at centre..... if im not wrong this is due to ur steering alignment n wheel alignment... big probz... will be a big pain in the neck if go for touring...

this prob shud not be neglected... esp urz is a new bike... and a sports bike..... A sports bike other den having a good engine... muz have ultra precise steering.... coz on cornering n curbing... dats the onli thing u hv.. other den ur skills n judgment....

moi super4 front wheel wearing is on the left onli.... right side clean... when i ride... u can see the fork slants to the left.... to make it straight i hv to keep on pushing the handle bar to he left... to compensate..... veri irritating....

after the accident even worse.. more slanting... tink the steering cone gone... wheels even worse... lotsa vibrations (even though i hv heavy balancers n fork brace) i will be trying to change the cone.... fix up the handle bar alignment n change the wheels.. hopefully dat recities moi probz...

so for ur case... go back to looi's, get meng tong to luk at it.... dun let dem say itz part of the bike... if dats wot they insist... demand a change of bike... i mean... u pay top notch for the bike... the least can be done is to get ur satisfaction.. dun be like mi blurz bluurz.. always kena con.. end up paying more... n nvr get the probz rectify...

if recitfy pls get back to mi on the cause.... okiee?? hope wot i reccomend helps....

no, i must have been typing in my sleep :D

yeah cars abs are very obvious, so i was thinking if yours is abs version then wouldnt it be very hard to control once the pace gets heated up. and maybe be afraid to brake too hard in case abs kicks in and jolts u about the seat when the corners are rushing to u too fast...

Well I never brake during corners on the track. Always finish your braking before you enter the turn...

well.... i dun tink i will need a double bubble... coz theoretically it will not really out the wind.. chances is the turbulent part will be somewhere around the mid head level instead of the shoulders.

anyways, how much are you letting it go for? and can test and see the effect or not first huh...

contact is 96950802

 Intend to let it go at $70, the double bubble is definitely better than the original 1, trust me, a few of those guys riding vfr will noe when go high speed, very helpful to deflect the wind over ur head.
