number of years is not a good gauge. A mileage would be a nearer bet, but still does not eliminate the type of riding... cruise, fast pick up type, wheelie type.. chiong type etcetc

yup my came off too. Parked the bike, walked to kiosk to pay.. suddenly the bike tilted even more on its own. Luckily the side stand bracket holder is on 2 nuts. So basically the bracket swiveled and "taril" on the frame. Heng... :sweat:

 

Well solution is... Change a longer nut (coz my dropped to dunno where long time ago.), + a spring washer. It should be OK :smile:

 

So far no probs after this.No ppoint getting the OEM bolt... just get it from any screw shop (only color not the same.. who cares.. you can't see it!) will do

Not really interested as the OEM lights is CLASS A1 man. Add in the philips diamond vision and it performs "almost" like a HID. Most of my car owner frens though i changed to HIDs! :sweat:

 

But still sounds interesting. Might be tempted. Whats the brand? Any website? 1 lamp? so only one side have lights? Enlighten me.. thank you :sweat:

 

Oh yah i will check the front extender soon. That VFR guy... took it and no news. Ordered plugs and never collect. Some rider man........

a) Full tank = 16.65L (main) + 5.35L (res) = 22L (full). This is based on actual bike riding till the fuel gauge blinks... slightly different from paper

 

b) Mileage = 310km (main) + 100km (res) = 410km total)...this is based on stock pipes.

 

 

 

2. is there any underseat storage conpartment?

Not much.. only only enough for toolkit size psace (like a pencil box) on both left n right of the rear subframe. Refer to picture http://home.pacific.net.sg/~stanley/DSC00133.JPG

 

 

3. otr price for 1st and 2nd

a) 1st hand price for a 2003 model bike with ABS (VFR800A3)

Vehicle = 19,918.10

GST = 995.90

ARF = 2164.00

COE = 210.00

Reg = 140.00

Road tax = 128.00

Transfer Fee = 244.00

Total = 23,800.00

 

b) 2nd hand - A 2 year old bike will cost from 16~18K depending on

- condition of bike

- mileage

- inclusion of panniers

- ABS or non ABS (ABS usually add another 1.4~1.6k)

- accessories

 

 

4. insurance for 20 year old..

Great to know you are getting a VFR... welcome to the world of V4... and the only class of its own

 

Most ppl did not get a 1st hand as the price of it, you can easily get a 1L power bike. So if you really like it and is on a $$ contraint.. wait for a 2 year old bike. It is averagely mush more affordable and in great condition as most VFR owners take really good care of it.. (right guys? )

I am using H&B topbox. For a pic see my profile. I have seen givi topbox before. It comes with more attach points so not so good looking but more stable i guess.

Confirm, I want 2 sets of H7 Diamond Vision. Might need more cost my friends wants it too for his Fazer.

yes, h7 for VFR. so what type? diamond or vision +?

take note that the intensity range is different b/w the different philips models, and would result in different color range when you switch on the high n low beams if you do not change all 4.

OK, thais is all I am ordering. 4 sets for shah, 1 for maverick and 2 for danger. I can't order more because I am not supposed to sell high volume because retailers buy in these bulbs for already a higher price then what you guys are getting. So please do not mention this price to retailers else I will be in big trouble. Will get the bulbs probably next week. Let you know then.
