yay! finally cleared 2.01. i finally realised choosing the right bike is very very important. For that matter, don't take 206 as the throttle is sticking.

 

201 is not bad just that 2nd gear abit hard to shift into at low rev.

 

do we get to choose our bike when tp? or they assign us?

congrats CSV. for tp they assign you the bike. but during the warm up you can try the bikes first to see which ones are good. but can't try all the bikes but i think usually before tp they would already check the bikes to see if everything is ok. and if it rains the procedure is the same just that have to wear raincoat and it is going to feel uncomfortable.

what?! so good? i remember during my tp, we dont get to choose at all. we've to adapt to de bike. de only impt thing is de working brake light&signal light&main light.

 

and basically, only a handful of bikes will be out there, when de previous batch of people finish, another batch of ppl will head out & que to take over de bike.

quite ok actually, i am surprised myself. can do so with relative ease. i suppose it is impt to use your stronger leg (thigh section) to help support the weight for both lifting and setting down.

actually it is quite easy. they would teach you the technique on how to carry. i was worried also that it might be heavy.

we have no other choice but suck thumb.

 

i remember as a kid, seeing bikes with L plates plying the roads like forever...

 

now, can never understand why the need for 10sec on plank, 8 sec on bumpy... etc... rather unnecessary, i'd say.

actually 2b vs 2a/a courses are very different in the sense that the pressure in 2a/2 is not as great as in 2b. more cos we are already able to ride no matter what.

 

but main takeaways from these lessons is to see how others are retaking their licences after getting theirs revoked... on more than one occasion. illegal racing, speeding and beating red lights, drink-riding, etc. impt lessons to take note of, actually.

 

and also a sombre reminder that if u commit traffic offence on ur bike beyond 24 pts, all ur licences will be revoked! not worth it at all.

 

remember this, pple. stay and ride safe. we usually commit an offence or get into accidents because of a moment of folly.

Hello everyone! I am facing a problem now... I got my class 2B TP on 24oct, but today I failed my 8.01... And worse still, there is no more slot today and tomorrow for 8.01! And since I am in army now, I can't go on weekdays... So I can't fulfill the requirement of completing 8.01 5 days before the TP... Sigh, anyone able to help?

if u are in unit already, see got any night lesson on weekday then apply night out lor.

 

if not, really no choice gotta cancel and rebook ur TP. i don't think they will "open" a 8.01 class to cater to your timing specially.
