daelim roadwin? the bike looks quite 'big' right?

 

i don't know much about that bike, but it looks quite big and sporty :o

Daelim not bad coz their 2B bikes comes with DOHC while most on the market only SOHC. Daystar, Roadwin n RoadwinR were once my choice.

 

If your 2nd hand bike stil under warranty, u LL muz go back to them for servicing. Juz beware tat repair/replacement cost of original parts is going to be in the Class2 range. Only CKA carries the Daelim parts so they kinda monopolised the market.

 

I believe tat no bike is a bad bike, all bikes r good bikes. Besides ur personal preference, the maintainence costs muz consider too. Other than the potential bill shock frm CKA, Daelim is a good brand.

but apart from this, it's a single cylinder, so basic maintenance is simple n cheap. it's only specific parts that u might need to replace due to wear and tear might be costly, cos like what Veil said. the market is monopolized by a single player.

 

i think roadwin is using slightly bigger size tyre than most 2b bikes, which in a way has its good n bad. the good being more stable, the bad being slightly more costly when replacing tyres.

 

anyway most 2b bikes are single cylinder. their performance are more or less equal, so just choose something u like and feel comfortable in. :goodluck: in ur bike hunt!

Before i enrol my 2b, i tot of gettin a used phantom coz i reali like the laid back sitting so i immersed myslf in the "Phantom Knights" thread. Then i wan a new Yamaha R15 so i chased the "R15 thread" faithfully. Tats when my mind starts goin haywired...

 

New Derbi Gpr 125. A new Roadwin R. Used Roadwin R. New Roadwin. Used Roadwin. SP. Used Honda CBX200. New X1r. Used X1r. Used R15. Used Daystar 150. New Daystar 125 black edition. 1983 Rxk. New Fz150i. Used Fz150i. New R15 again. Kr. Derbi Terra. Used Honda varadero 125. New Honda Cbf 150. Used Cbf 150. Phantom again. Honda Cbr 150...

 

Up to nw stil deciding... Latest poison is Yamaha Fz16 coz i like the big tank look. But i noe my haywiring wil start again very soon...

this is normal la! it's good to read more abt the bikes, but dont get too obsess over it. concentrate on ur learning 1st!

Stanco, u r absolutely right! Obession wil result in wide turning. Hahaha! But im glad tat all these fervent readings n researchings helped me understand the pros/cons of each model. Tat shud help when i reali decide.
