hey dont be scared! overcome your phobia ! hee ... i was like you too.. then when i taking 2a, i struggled abit at fig 8 then instructor pillion me. like that nevermind, after that my timing still cannot make it. then instructor go and chase me from behind make me scream heee !

 

but in my opinion better buang at figure 8 rather than buang at e-brake. e-brake until now also i phobia hee !

 

yeah!!! at first im okay cos like it feels like riding bicycle and bending low actually doesnt feel scary at all! and then somehow my stupid right hand itchy pull throttle abit more then buang liao. or maybe i subconciously pull cos u know when turning the bike ur hand also moves??? i dunno. after that i super scared of everything keep dropping bike =.=

how was e-brake for you? i got some tips online that says MAKE SURE UR HANDLEBARS ARE STRAIGHT. i think e-brake is very impt on the road cos u dunno when some stupid car will jam brake infront of u...

Really need to maintain throttle for figure 8. If not sure fly. Tap rear brake for speed control.

Ebrake need to lock arms when braking. If not ye handlebars will turn and you fall. More pressure on front brake and make sure you brake gradually.

Yup. I do it all the time. Be gentle though, hit the brake too hard can cause your wheel to lock.

@ ninny, if u are still looking for gloves, u can try this shop owned by a malay boss just opp ah boy's. i got a gpr glove, est 15- 20 bucks fr them, quite good. best part of it, there is xs for this model, my hands are small too so i understand ur " pain" .. lol...

 

anyway, brother huairen, i was looking thru parking, how do we park for free at raffles/ suntec etc? take out cash card and squeeze thru? ( so tt the sensor dont sensor my $$) hoho...

hi all. thanks for ur advices.

 

actually i fell down hard during my 1st lesson of fig8(was travelling too fast, pulled front brake and rear too sudden and striked kerb. lost control and dropped suddenly) and injured my left feet till it was swollen and limping for 2 days as i can't walk properly haha! 2nd lesson was more of overcoming the phobia and building up my confidence again i guess.

 

today pract3 passed with 10.0+ s! even tho i took more lessons for my individual practs but i made friends with fellow bikers and encouragements from one another do really help. hi delwyn!

 

instructor today was good and challenged me to throttle more and i just went zoom zoom zoom as confidence built up over previous 2 lessons alrdy.

 

told myself i wont give up so easily! +u fellow learners almost there for the 2B.

Wah exam period, still go riding. Power sia.

 

Last time during the Term Test Period, I went for revision. Then Crashed and Burned at the E-Brake. K nv burn la but the scars still can be seen, esp the one on my leg. Made the whole term test so much more painful to take.

for prac 3 try ask instructor tongpang.. that was the turning point for me. after instructor tongpang everything changed.. able to pass on 2nd try. so goodluck to u tmrw ninny.

Yea I also had my instructor pillion me around the Figure 8 on my 3rd try, after he see me lean like nv lean one.
