@cookiesandcream Not riding at the moment. Was riding a tw200 till something happened. Long story.

@knucklehead those expressways are crazy during jams. Doesn't help especially with impatient drivers around. Even i get scared just sitting in the car.

there was once i sat in my uncle's car, then u noe la, auto car like the brake effiency not really there, it feels like the car gonna crash into the car infront, i scream *softly* . paiseh sia ....

Some stupid engineering course. lol.

lol. kr ohhhhh~

Yeah :) actually now also can wash bike wad. haha.

@Shadowluva cpt kluarkn mtr! hehe. so can go riding2 together.

@knucklehead yeah i use that velcro thingy, i put on the underside of my bubble.. but because the bubble got this curve, the sticky part of the velcro like not sticky anymore. not the velcro yg terbukak, its the sticky part of the velcro which is supposed to be on my bubble. i hope u get what i mean. LOL.

ahaha ... clean bubble properly then bopian use double sided tape on your not-so-sticky-part of the supposed-to-be-sticky-part of the velcro. but u paste the whole pplate or you cut off the white sides? haha i understand wat u mean. coz last time also i got experiment wif how to put pplate infront... ahaha

btw sell off my bike already liao . )=

i only going for 2 CRs and 1 RR hahaha. if needed then 1 more CR. i feel that new test route- circuit must be super chop steady, road is really nothing much they can penalise u for.

1 CR = 10.70 RR 31.03. 2 RR = 62.06. i going for 2 CR 1 RR only 52.43. 3CRs 1RR 63.13. RR is go once refresh can already i feel.

You are so damn exactly like how I used to be last time! I feel a dejavu happening. Haha!

true, but that time after i passed my prac 8. the instructer checked my record ask why i never go RR, say must go at least 3 times.

and car p-plate is the same as bike p-plate i suppose? if so i can continue using it

@knucklehead looking for me ehhh? hahaha. currently i use my front pplate to put at my rear, so my front pplate-less! leceh sia, i put the car pplate on my bubble, it wont stay on, asek jatuh je! irritating. hellllppp.

It is the same but car 'P' plate is much bigger compared to bike 'P' plates. Personally I prefer bike 'P' plates as it is small in size.

I just passed my RTT today with 46/50 (scarily close to failing), and got the staff to update DRT bookings for me, 2 DRT lessons both on weekdays, have to wait until next yr January.

Congratulations on passing your RTT!

ya i think i haf to brush up road experience first before attempting to go all the way to ntu. but walao, 1.5 hours public transport can really killlllll.

not to mention the sbs bus u take from boonlay interchange to ntu is insanely long q every single schooling day. lol. mine isn't any better with squeezing with the NP students. i take an hour-1.5h depends on the jam and the number of buses i need to miss due to fully packed to go sch hahaha.

my budget also not very high the most ard 2k machine. insurance is quite high nowadays. third party easily 600-700+ for my age.

I agree. bus 23 always damn packed. dat was my motivation to get a bike asap. but recently i find it a hassle to ride. coz evening always rain heavily. T.T

On my side, TP has too many students and too few buses with too few frequencies. Only now TP started operating a few more shuttle buses, but still SBS frequencies are still terrible.

Totally agreed!

Bus 23 is part of the same 1.5 hours to 2 hours journey everyday from my house to Tampines that I went through till I got my NSR SP! You should be grateful that your insurance is somewhat cheap due to your age. My 3rd party costs $1200! That is what I am living with now.

!

Yeah, I totally understand your situation man.. but fortunately I am able to secure a place in one of the halls. Travelling to and fro school and home is really exhausting, especially if you have trainings in school during the holidays. I just got my license and bike but still not too comfortable with riding long distance :p

Perhaps you should go for riding more often. It definitely gives you more experience between you, your bike and the road.

i know how you feeeeel. Stay pasir ris, but school at NP. Jialat. Especially if rainy day, so many people.

Something like me? My place to Tampines. Perhaps we should exchange schools! Haha!

Ok what r15/r125. RS125 lagi chio. $$$.

You sp eh?

Which guy would put a yellow bunny as their avatar?

Personally, I would agree with you. Aprilia RS125 is the best! So nice to sit on it and even ride. See see see but still my eyes are not tired seeing em again everyday!

@Shadowluva banking & finance:)

@chipsmore banking & finance:) HAHAHAHAHHA. its uol, can skip one year just do 2 years:) and ya im not rich but just saying private uni usually have richer kids. but, u see in ngee ann poly, all bloody sports car, saw 2 porches and 2 ferraris, and i even saw a white ducati 848 once!(almost went to molest it)

My dream bike is Ducati 1198 R! I let you molest it. Haha!

ride at KPE . easy laa . ahaha

The most boring expressway to ride in I would say.

@Shadowluva yeah occasionally got to ride frm tamp to bp, really hate bke coz of the malaysian riders. T.T was thinking that lesson would be interesting, and maybe instructors may have some tips at hand~

@Shadowluva yaaaaaa. they selit2, lane split.. like not afraid to die like that. LOL. I riding KR. :D

I am too used to riding with Malaysian riders already as I am going Malaysia twice or more every week without fail!

@S.m.H *looks at all your posts* wa you one shot answer all?? LOL. anyway i keep failing my prac 5! very pek chek. ergh. had immediate failures but points under 15 for the first 3 times. then, finally 4th try no imm failure, but kena 40 points. i want to faint. can some kind soul please brief me on what to do from the very start???

CDC ubi circuit-

1. from starting, left signal, left blindspot, turn to left lane then signal right, right blindspot, turn to right lane.

2. at blind wall, check back right, turn to right lane.

3. signal left, left blindpot, change lane to left lane.. all the way then signal right, right blind spot change to right lane.

4. check right blindspot, turn into the road.. slow down, right blindspot, turn into slope.

5. signal to the side u are on, change signal, check blindspot away from kerb, move off. only use rear brake when going downslope.

6. stop at stop line. check left blindspot, turn left.

7. pass by the T junction, before the curve, check left blindspot.

8. signal left then check left blindspot then turn left to queue for fig 8.

9. check back right, check left blindspot, go into fig 8. kick up gear 2, switch off signal.

10. coming out of fig 8 switch on left signal, stop before stop line.

11. check back right, check left blindspot, go into crank course, see no car, check left blindspot, turn to lane... signal right to overtake (check right blindspot). then signal left (check left blindspot)

12. turn into left lane then signal right, check right blindspot, change lane to right lane... back at blind wall.

13. check right blindspot, turn into right lane, signal left, check left blindspot, change to left lane.

14. queue up at plank. switch off signal. for plank grip tank slightly, look ahead, more than 6 sec. stop before salom.

15. for salom, check back right, move off, less than 6 seconds.

16. out of salom, check right blind spot, continue on to ebrake.

17. ebrake start braking at white line, lock arms, look straight, apply both brakes gradually, bike coming to a stop then clutch in. left leg down.

18. check back right, left leg up, right leg down, kick down to gear one. check back left, right leg up, left leg down. signal right, check back right, move off.

18. at give way line, must check right blind spot.

19. follow left lane and switch off signal at the bend. (also check right blindspot)

20. all the way until after paedestrian crossing, signal right, check right blindspot, change lane to right.

21. check right blind spot and turn in at blind wall, check right blindspot again and turn in to the bike parking lot.

PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I DID DO WRONG!!! all tips are warmly welcomed! >3

@ninnypants, what are the reasons for getting 40 points? blindspots? wobble? bad timing?

maybe it is easier to address your weak points instead..

when i was practising for my prac8, i kept doing plank over and over cos it was the deadliest obstacle for me.

i forgot all my blindspots and got all confused cos i seldom go thru the entire circuit, i just kept doing plank.

so i pestered one of the instructors and asked him for help to go thru all the blindspots in the circuit with me, so he stood there and listened very patiently while i went thru the whole course on the white board. it worked and i remembered everything clearly after that.

maybe you can try asking the instructors for help. they are very nice people with kind hearts :)

if it is a certain obstacle that is difficult, you can also ask them for tips.

ask different instructors for slightly different tips and revise on your own.

ask until you understand. you paid for it anyway. :goodluck:

ah apparently its more for wobbling which is very obvious when i first come out from starting line, and after coming out from fig 8. then there are other things like missing a few blindspots and also incorrect position for ebrake. will ask instructor the next time! i thought i got everything down already but argh. from 12, 14 points before with 1 imm failure is like ZZZ when versus 40 points! i should stop wobbling. is it because of eye line problem?
