[Throttle]

Had an Upmann PC. This is another notable smoke and quite underrated. Flavorful with woody and toasty hints. Medium-bodied.

Year 2003 . One of the enjoyable PCs for me (others include Rafael Gonz, Partagas and Cohiba SigloII). Would be better if the ring guage was at least 48 though. Not to be mistaken with the Tubo Upmann Corona Majors.

at first i tot it was a hermoso no.2.

 

in the end i realised its a ryj romeo no.2 T.A. haha... never smoked tat b4. guess i'll know wat it tastes like soon enough

the No. 2 tubo? very mediocre beginner smoke. 5/10. but being Cuban, it can sometimes be surprisingly enjoyable.

 

Just came back from a refreshing game of tennis....gonna play again tomorrow and Saturday......need all the exercise i can get.

Sorry bro, am in Melbourne right now and haven't checked the thread for some time.

 

Anyway, in Bali, cigars are expensive, so bring your own. Smoking is allowed everywhere, so smoke to your heart's content.

 

Restaurants to visit (and smoke!):

Ku De Ta, in Seminiak (expensive restaurant by the beach)

La Lucciola, in Seminiak (romantic atmosphere, make sure you reserve a seating for the sunset)

Kafe Warisan, off Seminiak (in a padi field, good foie gras)

 

If you're plannng to take the 1 hour trip to Ubud, you got to go to these restaurants:

Lamak

Mozaic (dinner only, reservations a must, best restaurant in Bali)

 

High-end Local food:

Made's Warung (2 branches, either one is fine)

Ketupat

Baku Dapa, in Jalan Dhyana Pura (best Sup Buntut Goreng!)

 

Massage places:

Body Works, in Seminiak (good value for money)

Mandara Spa (a few branches, but go to the one in Alila Ubud, very expensive, but very good in an exotic environment)

 

Beaches:

Kuta beach (lots of life, more touristy)

Seminiak beach (more locals, better waves)

 

Partying places:

Night life in Bali goes like this:

People drink at pubs till midnight, then head to clubs like Mbargo (more tourists), Kama Sutra (more locals), Bounty, Apache (reggae music).

After 3 am, everyone who still wants to party heads to Double 6 till morning.

 

As for shopping, its everywhere, no need for me to guide you.

you can find certain cigars in packs of threes and fives and boxes of 10s and 15s.

 

Convenient shops in town include Oaks at Tanglin, Taka, Greatworld.

Or Bluebells at Grandhyatt hotel, or LaCasa at the Regent hotel or Connoisuer Divan which I will recommend since the selection is wide and should have something for you.

 

If you want something in a nice presentation, the best is the Selection Robustos. 5 of the most popular Cuban brands in a beautifully crafted box with built in humidifier. I think price is about $200.

 

Single individual cigars go for a lot cheaper depending on size and quality but the presentation will not be so nice. rather than me explaining, go down to Con Divan at UE sq to have a look. The folks there will be more than glad to help you.
