I've been to Rochester, quite good ambience but smoking only outdoors. the chinese restaurant there is famous for their peking duck.

hard core cigar lover? nah... dun have the money to indulge in it. haha... i think my personal stash is the smallest among the others here.

 

as for wat i look out for when smokin cigars, i guess its impt to have a nice, consistent burn rate all round the ring of the cigar. otherwise u'll have to constantly monitor it, which kindda ruins the enjoyment of smokin it.

 

havin a thick amount of smoke at the end of a draw is also a plus for me. it juz seems more satisfyin somehow... haha...

Yes, weekend biker. sometimes monthend biker.

The ambience was great with really excellent service. I am surprised myself by the level of attentiveness of the staff at SKINS. The gal is chio indeed(couldn't take my eyes off her!!Hahaha)

How about we do smokeout one Saturday and one weekday out of every month? In this way it can cater to those who can make it on weekends and those who can do it on weekdays. Hopefully we get more new faces....

About the Ligero, Seco, Volado. I checked my "Habanos Cigar Guide" again. All three are filler leaves

 

Ligero is the most flavorful of the three and are top leaves as we know.

Seco is second strongest in flavor and Volado is the lightest. Volado is essentially to improve the burn quality.

 

The binder comes in to pre wrap and the wrapper which looks the best is to "package" the final product.

 

These leads to the common request from cigar smokers to custom rollers for "mucho Ligero" which translates to "plenty top leaves" (for more flavor)

if there's a chance and someone brings along a lap top (I cant becos my lap top battery burnt out) we can all watch my Habanos interactive guide to Cigars CD. It is very comprehensive and comes with many explanations and videos from agriculture to manufacturing processes to smoking and etiqette.

 

Got this CD from Miramar, the "wealthy area" of Habana where many of the International 5* hotels are located. Regret not buying a lot more becos it's only 5 Cuban Convertible Peso or about S$9 each......

CAO has got many weird vitolas and blends.

There is a CAO shop near Bahnoffstrasse, Zurich.

Tried one when i was there. I think it was brazilian.

It's a family run brand with the father, son and daughter featured usually in their print adverts.

 

Non-Cuban so i dont follow. Apparently makes strong blends.
