Wah really great humidor nightstalker! So how's your hygometer? Do you manage to exchange it? My humidor is fill with varnish smell, how do i get rid of the smell? I try airing it and put some cheap cigar to absorb the smell and give more tobacco smell to it but it's progressing slow. Can anyone help me with it?

it should be 10 cigars, me, nightstalker & entity (he did 1 por laragana pc) did 2, throttle 3, the squid 1.

 

ckunjie, put more cigar in and your humidor will full of tabacco smell soon.

nah... still waitin for new stock to come in for my hygrometer. no hurry anyway. i've transferred my the digital hygro from my first humidor to this new one. the old humidor's using the analog hygro.

 

ckunjie, my humidor also has this VERY faint varnish smell. i let it air for a day first. then loaded my cigars into it as seen in the pic. now it's smellin great.

If i add more cigar in the humidor will the cigar absorb the varnish smell and affect the taste of the cigar?

i guess is depends on how strong the smell is? if its really strong then i'd suggest u leave it open for a few more days. or u can use a de-ioniser to remove the smell. i think entity tried it b4...

You can try charcoal, it eliminates wetness and odors.

It was a GMT Master. Notice the dotted markers after every even number on the bezel.... Not the Sub-date.

i usually park at esplanade and walk over. free parkin for bikes. not sure if there's a nearer carpark though.
