Cigar Affairs selling fake cigars, owners fined and jailed......not new case though, my friend took up a civil suit against them more than a year ago.

It's quite funny for them to sell 2001 "limited edition" cohiba robusto and partagas piramide, don't know what newspaper, bugs or "herb" inside. But for a novice like me i sure fall for it. I thought fake cuban only happen in the states only. Well at least justice is served.

prices are very controlled in singapore. tobacco sales is bounded by lots of regulations. funny how come they dont do the same to alcohol despite the woes of alcoholism.....

 

anyway, there arent too many cigar places around. just snoop around and check, sometimes here cheaper , sometimes there cheaper but only by a bit.

Wondering if cigars are sold in those neighborhood provision shops or some 7-eleven stores?? Should be cheaper if have huh??

I think you are comparing the wrong things Rick.

 

the cigars that you find in convenience store and petrol stations are mostly the low grade stuff that most cigars shops dont sell. Those are cheap but not worth smoking. Many young posuers buy them to put in their mouth to act cool.

 

The cuban/dom rep cigars (Tubos) sold in 7-11 are usually in tubes.

The price is the same as those in the shops becos the sole distributor is the same.

 

I would prefer to buy from a tobacconist than 7-11 becos a tobacconist would store cigars better than 7-11.
