Although it's a website about the company, it does have a lot of information on how cigars are grown, cured, made, etc. Very informative.

Hey Throt, Was at Con D on Fri till abt 920. Didn't see you there. No worries. Another time. Had my first Monte No.2. It was a gift from a family friend, 2000 batch, aged 7 years

any way...

i quite a newbie to pipes....

will be getting 2 soon....

nw is tat hw to "season" the pipe...

any ideas....?

heard from a pipe smoker friend of mine....

season by using condensed milk....

pour into pipe bowl till full

then let it dry up n so on n so forth...

tis method works ....

as i saw him doing it n using the pipe(take abt a mth or so to season)

so nw is tat ...

any other better or faster methods or anyting...?

WOW this thread is AWESOME! I never knew singapore has such a nice cigar community. I was googling for cigar diners in singapore and bumped into here on google.

 

Here's a small self intro:

I consider myself a cigar newbie (started barely a year and half). My favorite cigar is the Punch Punch for 2 reasons:

1) I love spicy cigars

2) It's cheap ($35 from hyatt davidoff). I smoke regularly (one a day, sometimes two), and therefore do not (and cannot hehe) prefer expensive cigars.

I like smoking alone or with my gf (it's our "quality time". women love those), though she's a non-smoker.

I've been to con divan a few times, but never a regular. My favorite smoking hangout is actually Paulaner's (outside Millenium). I'm this HUGE lager and ale lover, and don't really care if the taste spoils the palate. Good beer > Good cigar

I didn't start on cigars by learning the proper "art" of smoking. Most of the things I know, i picked it up myself through my own trial and error and preferences (for example, I love cigars with bitter coffee and beer, and I like to suck really hard during the last 1/3 of the stick so that I end it with an uneven burn to get that hot and spicy feeling on the tongue), so some of the things I appreciate may be considered "weird" heh

 

I'm actually looking for good cigar diners in singapore (other than con divan). Somewhere quiet. Any recommendations?

 

By the way, why don't you guys create a separate web portal for the cigar community in singapore? I can help set up the site for free, and you guys can help fill up the content, like cigar diners, different types of cigars, cigar products recommendations etc etc. I'm sure with all the big cigar brains here we can have a pretty good website
