Hoho, I have an epicure No. 2 in my briefcase right now!

The No.4 and punch are rather on the slightly stronger side issit not?

How are they? A little description?

Posted

Partagas Serie No. 4 is a bit stronger than the Epicure No. 2.

Toasty tobacco taste with a slight sweet spicy body. maybe 4/5 in strength

Punch Punch has a burnt woody taste with hints of nuts. not strong only 3/5 in strength.

Both cigars are not too complex in taste but fulfilling with very nutty aromas

Draw is usually good as the ring guage is big.

the epicure No. 2 has a distinctive fermentation scent. really quite like stir fried Tauhu, heh heh.....excellent draw and medium strength

looking forward to the next one!

I feel cigars are like drinking coffee...

Not like smoking cigarettes which is like drinking water..

Can enjoy cigar, but cannot enjoy cigarettes...

Anyway I quitted smoking... but Vanilla flavour Cigars sure taste weird...

HAHA... He recommended me the Choix Supreme too. A very nice smoke. If you have time, try the Hoyo Double Coronas. I tell you, that was one of my longest and nicest smoke. No regrets getting that one. Now special offer, selling for $30 at OAKs Tanglin. Not sure whether offer still on.

For $30 per stick , i must say that the Hoyo DC is one of the best buy , i have heard so far.

but do allow yourself about at least 90 to 100mins to smoke this long one....

Just had a Hoyo Epicure 2 last friday.

Very amazing smooth creamy draw. But burning was not very good and it kept dying out. And i think i cut the cap a little too much. Will remember to have a smaller cut the next time. The cigar however, was not to my palate's liking. The Choix Supreme was definitely a more familiar one.

Next on the line will be

. Romeo y Julieta Cedros De Luxe No. 2

. Hoyo Coronas

. El Rey Del Mundo Coronas De Luxe

There's OAKS at Tanglin, Taka, Orchard Point (I think).

Now I go to the one at Tangling Mall. Don't have to go through ERP and the guy there is helpful.

Well, throttle recommended me the El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme. That's quite a good choice for a beginner. Not too strong, but smooth and flavourful for your palate...

Hey William passing that first recommendation around I see! =) he he

On another note, a question for those who smoke their cigars at home.

I do not have a balcony so my only choice is to open the windows, close the door n smoke. Question is, does the smell "get out" of the room? How do you take care of the smell? Would an air purifier help?

So far I've only smoked at pubs so wld like to do so in the comfort of my own home.

Cheers!

Cigar smoke quite strong. Anyway, i always prefer to smoke outside. If not at a pub or cafe or lounge, the park near my house is a fine location for me. On a hil top, very cooling at night.... :thumb:
