by the way Intruder, take it slow with that baby,

It could be mistaken with a Piramides, this Habano from Bolivar is a Campana, a tapered cigar that has the same gauge, although it is somewhat shorter. It is smoother than the Montecristo No. 2 and the Upmann No. , two Piramides, since the difference in length of 16 mm (2/3 of a inch) gives them more potency. It has very good draw and excellent combustion, being The strongest of the Bolivar Cigars

dont get too high........

just ended the nite with another Ramon Allones Specially Selected ($24).

This batch came lighter in wrapper shade and sure enough requires a bit of resting.

I'll probably keep it for a month or so before pulling one out to smoke again.

The flavors were light and floral at the start building up to a woody and leathery texture. tinge of coffee and cedar was evident down the middle and tailed off to a slightly nutty but bitter last inch. perfect burn and draw as the ash dropped only halfway down. some traces of cinnamon and smell like toasted cinnamon.

my next one will be an RYJ Hermoso No. 2 Edicion Limitada ($42)

dark and oily wrapper, i expect more strength and deeper taste in the usual cedary base. Last one i had was quite expresso coffee and roasty.

cant wait.................

Finally went to the oaks at taka, and eventually bought a romeo and julie...??? forgot the name, cost $16. had an uneven burnt surface, and it was not wat i expected. after the puff, i vomit twice and feeling giddy :cheeky:

is it too strong? or i may be inhaling too much of the smoke from the surrounding?

aiyoh bro......

i presume you bot a Romeo Y Julieta Tubo No. 2

Maybe you dont know how to light it so the burn was bad.

also maybe you dont know how to smoke it so you took in the smoke.

it is certainly not what most people expect when smoking for the first time.

Vomitting is quite common for beginners becos they smoke too fast and too hard.

bro..... next time we meet up perhaps you wanna join and take it easy so wont see stars.

Romeo Y Julieta small guage cigars are classified as medium strength the most.

anyway, good try.

i had an uneven burnt cos i was using matchsticks to burnt, cos i don have a flame torch.

the feeling of the cigar is spicy at the beginning and at the end. after i put the cigar on the ash tray for maybe 2mins, the fire went off, is it normal or i was putting too much saliva on the cigar end?

i can't feel any creamy taste or maybe i felt abit woody and too much smoke floating around.

ya, throttle u r right, i smoke too fast and hard, every time i tk in a puff, i usually tk in 3 to 4 pufff, of cos without inhaling. :giddy:

uneven burnt is not caused by matches.

it takes skills to light cigar, especially with matches.

uneven burn may be caused by the following:-

1.poorly humidified cigar

2. windy smoking conditions

3. bad lighting

4. uncontrolled smoking patterns

the RYJ tubo no. 2 is not a creamy cigar, so you wont taste creaminess.

it is a toasty light tangy cigar with notes of wood and leather.

considerably light to medium in body.

Saliva on cigar end? that is a no no. slobbering on the cigar is not good.

it chokes up the tobacco and the draw and spoils the taste too.
