Sev, in the airport you cannot buy many cigars by singles.

you can buy epicure 2 in box of 3 or Partagas Serie No. 4 in Box of 3

Or Monte 4 tubo singly or Monte 2 in box of five or Cohiba siglo series in box of 5 or Trinidad robusto extra in box of 3

for singles only have low range habanos

Intruder: it is ok, we find another day.

If airport do not sell single, then i either buy Epicure no 2 or Siglo II in small box...

Partogas Series D No 2 has strong nicotine punch, i dont think i can take it... sure giddy and sweat alot...

Just had a Don Sebastian bought from Taka Oaks earlier.

Very gentle smoke, mild, very affordable and easy for newbies like me. Leathery towards the end. Ash holds up to an inch before departing

Puzzling cos I accidentally 'tarek' but unlike other cigars I tried before, I didn't choke on this.

Any comments why? Throt?

Don sebastian as you already siad it, is mild and light.

wrapper color is light colorado shade. not as choking as cubans

even so, you should have been choked still.

perhaps you already seasoned?

heh heh

Maybe the result of years of endless chain smoking on ciggies... :giddy:

I checked the Don Sebastian, it's from Dominican Rep. Is this the trait of Dominican Rep. cigars dude?

Anyways, had a RYJ Cedros Deluxe No.2 earlier. Is this Cuban Throt?

Bought it at 22 from OAKS Taka again. Had the guy cut the tip for me, cos still no confidence on where to cut it nice and clean.. heh

Lighter brown colored, very much softer 'packing' of the cigar, mild and soothing smell of the cigar itself..

Nice and easy draw. For me it's kinda stronger than yesterdays Don.. Maybe tongue not yet 'running in'?

For now, kinda fell in love with Don Sebastian..

Yes, Dom Rep cigars are easy to enjoy for new cigar smokers becos it's milder and less pungent with a herbal tea like scent and taste.

The rYJ cedros deluxe No. 2 is a very standard RYJ wrapped in cedar strip.

light medium strength and not very complex but still an enjoyable smoke.

For $22, I would certainly recommend the Upmann connosieur No. 1

Had a ryj exhibicion no.4 in a pub a few days back. one of the better cigars i've tried so far. very smooth and pleasant on the palate. think i also detected a nutty taste to it too...(not very sure if itcan be defined as nutty though) haha...

hey throt, r there any cigars tat are similiar to the exhibicion no.4? it wasnt spicy to me too... the way i like it. feel like goin down to oaks to get another one... nice... :thumb:

YEs, one very similar to RYJ ex No. 4 is the Vegas Robaina Farmoso.

Price is also about the same. The taste is almost identical except that the RYJ has some fruity overtones.

Sev, dont do too many monte 4.

They are actually quite a waste of money.

Monte 4s are over produced and blend and quality is questionable

Try to move out of this lower range habanos and try some insider cigars.

eg. Partagas 8-9-8, Ramon Specially Selected, La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'orNo.2

you will soon realise that the monte range is only so-so and overhyped.

It is a good beginner smoke but you need to move on from there to advance your palate, and sensation.

it is ok man, may be i go get some of your recommendation and try it out, i do feel coronas do not have the complex taste like robusto...

Partagas 8-9-8 and La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'orNo.2 are Lonsdale, 6 inches +, gonna take long time to finish... :giddy:

must finish my stock first... :giddy: :giddy:

Por Laranaga Petite Corona.

My current favourite smoke is the Hoyo De Montery Piramides Edicion Limitada 2003. Bot a box and will continue buying once I am down to my last few as long as I have money.

3 cheers for you guys, time is tough, hold on and keep move on, you will make it through. :thumb: :thumb:

just had a RYJ petit corona, this is the first cuban cigar that i ccouldn't finish it off... the burnt was very uneven, the ash was black color and got 'flowerly' effect, the taste was plain, 'pale' and not aroma at all... the flame went off three times, had to re-light it all the time, the draw was loose, smoke was less, what a bad bad bad cigar....

smoked half and got fedup, throw it away without finish it...

damn, i need to try some premium cigar to release my frustration man....
