btw, the lusits are excellent, strong tobacco leaf aroma (my palm left with the smell of lusit after holding it for awhile..)and very nice wrapper, big, long and spongy...

Hi, did the Macanudo no.4 last fri, gave me an hour of enjoyment, hehe. :)

 

Its my first cigar, so no other experience to compare. But thought the burning was pretty even and the draw pretty smooth. The longest the ash stayed intact was around an inch.

 

The taste started off pretty mild, gradually got a bit leathery (I don't know if leathery was the word to describe the taste) and got earthy towards the end. There was a consistent papery taste throughout though and also some faint herbal taste at the top of my mouth at some draws, is this normal? Think I smoked too fast towards the end and the taste got a bit burnt. Stopped with around an inch left.

 

Will try other cigars in may be 2 or 3 more weeks time. :)

 

Thinking of trying cigarillos also, the seniors here got any comments on cigarillos? :)

Gerard, you may want to consider taking just 5 first since you dont know if you like them. the bros here are always breaking boxes so once you are in the fraternity, dont worry about not being able to get them.

Found this cigar shop (havanahouse.org). The range is almost as good as Con Div. But prices here are more expensive than Singapore. So I bought a cigar book instead. Nightstalker should know, its the one we saw at Jimmy's. But mine is the latest edition, 2005!!!

Bought it for NZD149. Approx S$170. Slightly cheaper. I couldn't find it anywhere else. On the Internet, I only found one at an Australian website selling for USD169.
