selling off the Siglo cigar case which i bought brand new recently.

some of u might have seen me carrying it b4 :smile:

 

this case has a cedar wood inner lining + a cedar wood 'divider'.

carrys around 3 cigars (depending on ring gauge).

 

selling at $60.

 

anyone?

 

ps. the black patch on the pic is where the siglo brand is. copied this pic from the web so i erased the brand. but it looks the same. :D

Had a wonderful cigar at La Casa del Habano just now. The Upmann Sir Winston '2000. Nutty and woody, developed some coffee and chocolate notes after the 1st third of the cigar, and finally a long leathery finish.

 

The Sir Winston is a Julieta, the exact same size as the Monarcas. They are both supposed to have similar tastes except that the Sir Winston is more full-flavoured. However, the Sir Winston costs almost 50% more than the Monarcas. Am considering getting some Monarcas to keep. Anyone interested?

Smoked a RYJ ex no.4 on wednesday at KM8. It was probably the worst experience I've ever encountered with any RYJ Ex no.4; owing to the hot and humid conditions there (it's at sentosa, by the beach). I'm quite sure that it is because of the weather and humidity that the cigar had the worst uneven burn. I was constantly trying to salvage the cigar through repeated touching up and relighting. The unevenness of the burn had a length difference of almost 1 inch on either side of the cigar!

 

I still think it is a good cigar... this one was affected by environmental factors, not because of poor construction or whatever. Furthermore, all 6 other sticks of the same batch were excellent.

 

My only gripe is that the ex no.4's tobacco binder is rather loose. Provides an easy draw though... which is certainly better than having a plugged cigar...

i'm doing an El Rey Choix in my balcony right now becos i dont want to end the night without a satisfying one.

 

Had a bad monte2 and a so-so Bolivar RC in the afternoon....

 

About holding back and not buying any this month?

guess what i bot 4 boxes..

La Casa del Habanos Hotel Nacional, Habana, Cuba

Hotel Nacional is rated the best hotel in Cuba.

Used to host foreign dignitaries and diplomats, Fidel Castro holds many State Events at this Hotel. Perch on top of a hill which oversees the Malecon (Straits of Florida) Hotel Nacional used to be a fort with cannons pointed towards the sea.

There are also tunnels underneath the hotel that leads to various bunkers.

Here I am standing at the hotel room balcony during one late afternoon enjoying a Cohiba Robusto. The Capitolio (Capitol Government Building) stands tall behind with its distinctive dome roof. You can also see three of the four pointed tips of the Grand Teatro (National Grand Theatre) and Hotel Inglaterra building which like Hotel Plaza (the one I'm staying) is situated right in the heart of Habana around the central park.
