u're more than welcomed to join us fooz! keep a lookout on this thread as we normally meet on a weekly/fortnightly basis.

i also started off knowing nuts abt it, and im not a ciggies smoker too. as for the brand names and stuff, it may seems like giberrish as first (as least for me. Haha...). there're so many brands of cigars out there and it may be a little overwhelming at first. but after a little readin up (but most importantly, smokin sessions with the others), u start to notice the more famliar brand names like Partagas, MonteCristo, Romeo y Julieta etc...

hi Fooz,

My pics are mostly in Cuba, not Madrid.

There arent any cigar factories in the urban side of spain anyway. Maybe in the outskirts.

Just had a Monarca that is way better than the one I had on Thursday. Quite satisfied..

Oh, and BTW, the Diplomaticos No. 2 is yet another cigar that isn't quite to my taste.

Posted

yes, i think we have quite differing taste preferences and can only concur on a few specific vitolas. much like ice cream..hehheh

Most aged Cuban cigars all taste good. Just that some are better, according to people's palates.

Personally, I find that the Dip 2 and Fonseca No. 1 are very different. The Dip 2 tastes mainly of "cognac" mixed with leather, and hints of wood (oak?). The Fonseca No. 1 is mainly light wood (pine?) and salty, developing bean tastes at the halfway stage.

I'm getting my streak of "sick" cigars again. It's now 7 and counting.

Even when a friend pass me a stick to try, the cigar will turn "sick" from then on. Sigh..

i was tempted to smoke last nite, and lit up a fonseca delicias at home. well, im glad its my last stick remainin cos i didnt like it at all. tats definitely one cigar tat i wont be smokin for a LONG time. haha...

I've never bought anything from TopCubans.

Maybe you can try and tell us?? heh heh

I have bought from Habana, Cuba though

Otherwise I get my cigars mostly from suppliers in Singapore.

Pricing is quite fair as I have good relationship with them.

If you want to buy, I can introduce.
