does boon siew provide such conversion? or where can i fiind shops that are reputable to do such conversion?

i ever asked racewerkz at bukit timah.. informed by norman that 2k should settle that issue. comes with fresh rubbers and some cash back.. becoz i only ask him if 2k was enough to convert not..

hows the 250 FC like?

whats the maximum weight it can take?

can it cruise at 120 easily?

currently riding a phantom and its pretty hard to maintain at 100..

anyone replaced 250's rear shock before? whats the price?

how much EO is required per servicing and is the servicing at 2000k interval?

Thanks. (:

Hi bro,

FC range from 22-25km/l depend on how u ride, i rode 100-110km/h at highway fc abt 24km/l, full tank can get 350km easily

max weight i think more than 200 ba, not sure cos i small size, this bike using 180/17 rear tire so weight should not be an issue

maintain at 100 definitely no problem, bike can go 110-120 easily but muz tahan the wind, windshield will help alot

rear shock not sure but the shock can last very long as its from big bike

EO is 3bottle, semi syn can use up to 5000km before changing. no need to change at 2000km

cheers!

Hmmm bigger rear tire might not mean that it is able to support heavy weight.. Phantom official manual states that max load is 120kg only.. :/

how many spark plug required? Must wash carb on every servicing?

Hi there!

I have a minor leak in the engine block at the moment... suspect is due to long term 'wear and tear' issue...

I have just got the quote from one of the bike shop and it's about S$300 for changing the gaskets alone... perhaps... include some kind of checking of the radiator and fan system...

Anyone with any 'good lobang' on good mechanic with good experience on servicing the hornet 20cc bike.?

I have taken good care of the paint work since i own this bike and i hope that the recommendation from anybody here would take this into consideration as i am quite worried that most of the mechanic are very careless about the paintwork issue.

I'll be out of town from today till sunday and hope to get the bike serviced by next week when i return.

So, hope to receive some good recommendation when i am back.

Cheers!

Some H250 owner recommend "Bike Werk" @ kaki bukit. My Hornet prev owner serviced the bike @ "Unique Motorsports" @ Autobay. They all around the corner, perhaps ya can try drop by and ask for a quote? Cheers!

While pumping petrol this morning saw a phantom rider, he inquire about my bike and said that he love it cos its unique. I was so excited and "high" despite that its age.

Hmm.. I'm still having doubts with my bike's cooling system.. The water temp will always rise to the middle of the gauge.. Is it normal? First time riding a 4 cylinder.. Enlightenment please.. ^^

its normal, cause the coolant will reach optimal temperature... if too high thermostat would open coolant would circulate in the radiator and achieve cooling. So long the gauge didn't hit "H" should be safe.

Yah... although "Hornet" community is small... but I does feel proud riding one on the road. :thumb:

this few day keeping bumping into this H9 FV plate along SLE. any bro here?

anyway i jux found out H250 oil filter is not the standard can type, its those paper ones, went to change oil and the shop does not have the paper ones :dozed: o_O

Posted
oh thanks, so base on ur experience the needle will not turn when key is turn to "ON"?

For the light, except the reserve light the rest lit up then shortly "FI" and "HISS" goes "OFF", leaving the "Neutral" and "Engine oil pressure" lit.

Ya riding 919 too?

yeah bro same goes as mine.. yup riding 919 too bro..

anyone noe whats the colour code for the H919 silver?? wanting to respray my H250 to the silver like the H919! thanks!!!

The color code on my vehicle is as follows : NH-389M

MILLION THANK YOU BRO!!! searching for good n reasonable place for spraying

mine oso silver but more to matt grey gunmetal kind of colour.. maybe you wan to try out replica spray painting @ autobay i think.. im lookin to spray back mine too... has abit of paint chip off due to wear n tear n a small crack at my front fender due to over tighten of the screw... let me noe too if u found somewhere they can spray back the original colour n the price

Hmmm 250 didn't equip with fuel gauge too?

Can 250 and 600 be differentiated when they are place together?

No problem, ya found a suitable shop doing spray work for your bike?

yeah the 250 n the 600 can be differentiated by the coolant hose on the right side in btw the tank n the engine block.. the 600 has it but the 250 doesnt... tats y alot who dunno abt hornet will ask if the 250 is a s4 wif modified pipe to be high mount..

hornet 6 there is only '07 model... the only diff. btw '07 n '08/'09 is the colour scheme n meter n shox n fork adjuster... from what i noe, boon siew brought in a few only and after tat they dun bring in anymore for dunno wat reason.. mah has it but dunno if its local or PI... if PI, u will have a problem with makin new keys.. boon siew dun wan to do the programmin..

anyway for the past year i was also search for a h6 and price wise for the '00-'04 model is 4k-7k.. the so-called new '07 model is ard 12k.. there was a few sellin at garage sales.. mite juz wan to pm them to ask if it is still for sale.. no harm askin rite bro??
