Diavel official launch is happening this week at Mirabella, Spain. Press is getting busy trashing bikes on twisty spain roads. Juicy reviews are all lined up for next week. MCN has already announced in-depth review for the 9th Feb.

From what I've heard from sales rep as of last week of December there were 7 orders on the waiting list. Minerva has put an order for 10 units but not confirmed if Italy were to ship them all in March batch. Rumours on some ducati forums are that in the first shipment there will be only carbon model, time will only show if that is the case.

 

Here is another one photo from press launch - Carbon Black with termignoni exhaust, carbon rear fender and belly firing, fitted with aluminium frame plugs:

I thought you are getting one since you have started this thread and getting ready to collect your new horse from Minerva soon.

 

Most of reviews are being tracked by DucatiNewsToday. Yet to see any serious complains.

 

 

Anyway here is Diavel sprinting from 0 - 100 km/h -> instant wheelies at ever gear change:

Few extracts from today MCN (UK, 9th Feb issue) they went absolutely gush about new Ducati creation:

And so on, and so forth. Go figure out! MCN being a british mag usually hate cruisers - they have bashed new VMAX when it was out and completely ripped appart various Vrod re-incarnations.

Base model should be 40k. While carbon model (s) should be 46k. Anyway you can benchmark the OTR price around multistrada. You wouldnt go wrong with it.
