I just bought a brand new one. Year 2014, big bro is only four mths old. Too good to be true when you own one. Good Sport Touring bike..

It is better to drain them out and flush every 6 months.. It is a big bike and she needs to well taken care off

Does anyone knows any other place other than the agent, Boon Siew that service the STX1300A? I would prefer a bike service shop that does not use and incorrect tool as it will spoil the nuts and screws and the thread of it as well.. eg; engine oil change and etc..

 

Futhermore, is there a better mineral oil, Boon Siew is replacing my engine oil with Idemitsu. I find Idemitsu engine oil burns up to half of the level when going on long distance touring..

I will suggest you to send your bike to HKL at alexandra village to rectify the problem. Or if you want the bike manual, you can send me your e-mail and i can send the whole manual of the bike. Hope this can help....

You can try HKL at Alexandra Village.. They are quite good repairing ST 1300. I have been there repair a few times...

Im riding 2007 stx having abs light up problem when riding...

 

Before you go any work shop, you can try removing the abs sensors, both front and back. Give it a good wipe and see if it stops blinking.

anyone has a fuel gauge problem? apparently mine can nvr be full bar the last bar will always be off. took out the fuel float and try it also the same. Replace the fuel float?

Could be yr last bar of the fuel display is faulty. My previous bike was faulty(don't light up) on the third bar.

any side effect is i don't change the float? only the gauge is inaccurate

Shouldn't affect as it is the "full" making. Unless it is on the empty mark then you may not know when yr fuel is going to finish.
