The fear of market crash and job lay off is very much higher since end of March. A lot of bikers lost their job and need to sell their beloved machine.

On the other hand, bikeshops reduced intake or take-in price, especially for 'expensive' and overpriced bikes. PCX is one of the model got affected badly with the situation and also the pending PCX150 and newer PCX125 that outshine the current/older PCX125.

If they will offer, the price will be ridiculously low, asked around and the latest is quite shocking:

1 year or less: $4k max, condition must be good

1 to 2 years: $2.8k to $3.5k, condition and mileage

2 years or older: not interested.

They will ask seller to keep the bike and FO if seller try to ask for higher price, very sad.

U can try ask bike shop lah. Any bike will almost auto loose up to 50% when sold off second hand.

2010 PCX when come out was 6.5K.

Like deepblur says. Unless it is a popular and wanted bike. It will loose more.

Back in 2004. a Runner VXR200 brand new was 6.4K (coe 1.) Sell of 1 year later, Max is get at most 3.5k or 4K if you are super lucky.

I sold it at 4K to a private buyer. bargain to 3.8k. Have to be fair. Cos I want to sell it. She wants to buy it.

Bike shope will offer me 2.8K to 3K max. Bike shop will offer her. 4.2K-4.5K.

My Era was just launch and not much second hand on market.

The mechanics is simple. Bike shop take in. Must mark up and sell then make $.

6.5Knew if I sell 5K for 1 year old. Who will buy? Interest rate for second hand bike is higher. sso end of the day. The monthly installment is the same.

Whoever tell u that whichever bike have good resale value is bullshit. :p

Unless u are not staying in singapore or u are riding a Lambretta. :p

Welcome Bro. Keep a lookout for Taxis, stay far away from them. They stop to pick up passengers without looking at rear view mirror.

Keep a safe distance from big lorries & trailers. Their braking distance is much further than cars & bikes. Some spots that we are riding behind them, is their blind spots, especially when there are carrying lotsa of goods.

I also noticed the taxi drivers are very careless and they dont bother to see behind once they see a passenger infront! i will definetly keep a look for them..

We are all riders. Should help one another in anyway whenever possible. Ride safe. Do some simple checks on your bike when u collect your new bike.

-Make sure the IU unit is working properly.

-Check both brakes are functioning well.

Season parking, 1st time buying have to go down to town council to register personally & make payment. Remember to bring your bike's documents proving you are the owner of that bike number & address of the season parking location. Following months to renew, can use Giro system or renew at SAM or AXS machines.

Ya. They dun bother to see behind whenever they see a potential customer. Also be careful on the opening doors of taxis as well. Passengers dun bother to see when they alighting from taxis.

Thanks Bro. Ride safe too.

I second frozenpenguins's suggestion. Change the rear suspension for a worry-free ride. Expect to spend less than $200 for a decent suspension. One of the better things to change over 'power' & 'decor' mods.

Guys, what is the normal fuel consumption / liter for PCX? mine is giving close to 30km/l. driving from last 4days... a brand new bike.. is it normal or its more?

Im getting avg 45km/l.. and i ride 50% normal roads , 50% highway. 1 up most of the time except for the weekends =)

Might be the breaking in period.. monitor again after the first 1000km

Posted

35-38 km/l

35: if i whack like a maniac avg 90-100 km/h hitting top speed sometimes

38: 70-80 km/h cruising only... no whacking

Hi guys, just book my black Honda PCX today.. will collect it next week.

I rode this bike in thailand and it was awesome. Smooth and very responsive.

So really like the bike and got rid of my Dealim Roadwin 125. No value. Regret buying the bike. sian

Hope to see you PCX riders on the road!
