I was told the bracket is not available yet. But from the web, Honda do hv a bracket for pcx. A matter of time I guess. So when u get the bike?

Got the bike already and currently running in. So far so good. There are three color in sg white/grey and black.

Like -

low fuel consumption

Very easy to ride

Handling is good

Stylist enough

Smoot start and quiet engine

Dislike -

No bracket and box available

Easy to get dirty ( white and grey )

Grip is very sticky after rain

Not suitable using SPC 95 fuel (some clicking) - will switch to Caltex and test when empty

looks like the likes outweigh the dislikes, bracket i believe very soon will have. easily dirty cause of the colour scheme, any bike will have that problem. grips can change.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Ur figure or specs facts? If ur real figures, then it's really incredible.

Base on actual figure not spec.

Average speed of 60-70km/h as bike still running in for 500km

yup. pcx over budget ar. don wanna b stuck wif installment for too long. n also its a simpler bike...so if got any prob, simpler to rectify.

anyway bro, if u r to change, get the pcx if u hv the budget. forget abt s3. more ex but not any better.

i believe 95 more than enough for pcx . ride 1 in thailand i just pump any fuel and work without any problem and sound . love the pcx outlook and feature . The auto off idling feature really save alot fuel .

Additional Info about PCX 125:-

Full tank is approx 6.279litre (fill to the brim) - 6.1 litre as in spec

Under run-in period of not more than 60-70km/h can get 50km/l

Under normal riding up to 100km/h can get about 47km/l

Max speed with pillion is 104km/h

Bike begin to vibrate a little when travel above 90km/h (maybe due to overworking of the engine) anything below 80km/h is smooth

Pick up is slow

No box is available for this model so far.

Overall, still a good bike.

Ridden a Honda PCX in patong beach earlier this month,i must say although pick up is slow, but the response as compared to it's 125 cc scooters rival,is already a distinction.like the big scooter under-seat compartment, and the massive 55km per Ltr,due to the special stop "ideling" feature is great in singapore because we have too many traffic lights!!!!

Never own a scooter before, keen on the Pcx.

The seat n fuel switch are electrical or mechanical?

Afraid if battery die cannot open either compartment

Those who laugh last...

Laugh best!!!Ahahahahaha

Hi Shorty, how's your excel II so far. Giving me any problems? how about the pickup, FC, engine noise etc

I note that you have written that S3 is more expensive but not any better. I've seen it and the price is 8k plus. For a size like this, 125cc is not enough and accordingly to the salesperson, the engine for S3 is the same as roadwin as the manufacturer realised this limitation. Would you like to elaborate and share your views on this bike I'm doing an review on the bikes i've shortlisted, tks

This would be a good start for basic rider

Seat and fuel are mechanical.

If battery flat can push start ? Don't think so for electronic bike.

Kchiong, my excel so far no prob. Except the right side mirror keeps getting lose n sway ard when riding. Figuring out how to solve it.pickup not sure yet, as now riding it gently. Fc...not as gd as I wish.hopefully will get better after 1000km.engine noise is ok.tolerable.

As for the s3, I was expecting a much nicer bike.fm the pics I've seen, the bike is a disappointment in real life. Apart fm the looks, the price is another factor.very expensive, ESP when u can get the pcx for much lesser. N of cos when selling, u can sell a Honda easier.y I don't get the pcx is cos of my budget. If u r willing to buy a 8k bike, get the pcx.of cos if u hv 2a n don mind 2nd hand, I tink can get a silverwing with that money.

Well, bikes are getting more ex due to the ever increasing COE (now is 1.5k) sigh...

My budget otr is 6.5 to 7.5k and so far none suits my budget except for excel II (but i dun like the looks especially the headlights). Fino is too small imo. piaggio fly is out as i dun wan an italian bike. I like S3, S1 and sym evo 200 but these exceeded my budget. PCV last time i checked is on the high side of 6k. Now i dunn how much. One of my criteria is to have a box but pcx currently dun have a compatible bracket for that. Sometimes i wondor if i'm asking for too much ir i have not met the 'right' one

no worries bro...looking for bike that sometimes suits u is difficult. y i get the excel II is cos it suits my budget n my needs. the looks is secondary. excel II price is jus nice for me. n...the underseat compartment is huge for its size. n of cos, can put topbox, which i great.

hv u asked abt the new sym joyride? it should b within ur budget right? i agree that pcx would b perfect, if only they hv the topbox. u can check out yamaha nuovo. great looks, should hv gd fc n within ur budget.

I askd heng motor and the new joyride is 7.8k. That was last COE, dunno abt now. nuovo and suzuki hayate were peviously shortlisted by me but i prefer scooter size instead of cubs so those are out. I agree with u that looks shall be secondary if i am a budget conscious person. How much u get for your excel otr? where and how many colour available?

Went to Boon Siew this morning and saw a PCX on display with a box fitted. They have solved this box installation problem. I'm also considering this bike. Look cool and suits me well. Just hope that the fuel saving system don't cock up. Heard from a friend that Alfa Romeo also has this system.
