X1 = 110cc; front disc, rear drum brake

X-1R = 135cc; front disc, rear disc brake

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

is still wave after all. if u saying which one is more economical, both r the same. Wave R and Wave S diffferences are only technically. 110 if i'm not wrong, abit hard to find cos no more in production. check out the wave riders thread for more details..

Both should be the same but i doubt Honda will make 2 bikes of same CC exactly the same.

I feel the cam/CDI/gear ratio or something is diff between Wave 125R and Wave 125S.

I've own a R before and now a S.

There is a difference but cannot pin point where only.

Hope that helps.

Cheers !

Thanks for the reply bro.. But I'm looking for new bike... I believe ur bike comes with coolant.. Does it over heat easily n fan runs in?:)

No comment for X1. Never rode those or know any1 riding them.

For Wave.. it's a bulletproof bike and extremely low on maintenance. For me, I simply change EO when the time for it to do so. Other then the consumables like tyres, brakepads and clutchplates, I do nothing else.

Spark has coolant to worry about. Maintenance is low as well, but dun really have the bulletproof reputation wave has. Juz look at how mcriders and pizza hut riders abuse their waves.. still running good. But spark is definitely more powerful den wave.

In conclusion, get a spark if its be ur sole bike. Wave or X1 is better suited as a spare or 2nd bike, as they are pretty much maintenance-free and comes very cheap.

thanks bro for the info & advice :)

Actually I prefer x1 n spark compare to wave due to the outlook..But when compare to reliable Honda would do good ( no heart feelings to yamaha supporters)

on the other thread abt the diffs between r and s version wave. Which would be a better buy. As I still see someshops selling s version.. I believe both r using the same engine??

Bro can pm me where to get the best deal for wave.. :)

Bro, why not consider the Suzuki Raider 150 too? Its a performance-based cub with racing engine & parts. The new Raider 2010 model is out. Some info about this bike :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_Raider_150

Even if you don't mod it, the stock bike flies. Fuel consumption also very low. 35-40km/litre. So, its the best of both world for a cub.

Give it all your best & a little bit more...

Actually u know anywhere selling raider? It's in my, "before die, must try" bike list... really love its digital meter, long forks and powerful engine..

if u intend to ride very long with a new 2B bike better do so..if u intend to upgrade to cls 2A just get a second hand 2B..(trust me u consperm want to upgrade) Im riding X1. Like they all say maintanance is cheap. My petrol $4 full tank could last me 2 weeks now..still running gd coz i seldom ride..lol..

anyway i suggest u to buy from a fellow sbf forumer..regardless of what cubs u prefer..i camped alot at the garage sale page recently and got a good one. So do ur research on those bikes! I bet u just got ur 2B..haha..

I had a hard time finding my Raider too. Its rare in the market. The new 2010 Raider has just been launched in Malaysia and Philippine and i believe it will take a while before the local shops bring it in. If i see any shops selling the new raider, i'll update the forum.

Yup, so rare to find cub with digital meter, 6-speed DOHC engine. Best of all, the stock exhaust sounded so sporty....

Give it all your best & a little bit more...
