Sungei Road used to be filled with rows of shop houses and one of them used to be the LAB's workshop manned by his late father..

 

There used to be an ice making factory just beside the canal too..

i remember i was all crazy abt the Street Fighters stickers.. all completed except for the Zangief one..

But i managed to complete it in the end.. I didnt use it to exchange for the prize as I wanna keep the book, but sadly, i dunno where i kept it already..

 

Regarding the dentist thingy..

anyone remembered they gave pink coloured pills for you to chew before you brush your teeth??

your whole mouth and teeth will be pinkish!!

OMGZ!!! 1987!!! I was studying near Orchard at that time. So much had changed but it's amazing how so much also remained the same.

Only what was known as "CBD" or "Restricted Zone"..

There used to be this scheme where you must have 4 passengers in the car to enter CBD. Otherwise must buy coupon from the booth by the roadside. I forgot the coupon how much liao. So sometimes the drivers will carpool or ask relative and friends to make up the numbers. Carpooling was very popular back then for this reason.
