Let me put it this way.

Just hopping on an R1 and being one with it, it's so intense and exhilarating, that it feels criminal riding one.

i believe wat can fit in '06 600 can fit into '07 600..

correct me if i'm not wrong..

A catalytic converter is a device used to reduce the toxicity of emissions from an internal combustion engine. First widely introduced on series-production automobiles in the US market for the 1975 model year to comply with tightening EPA regulations on auto exhaust, catalytic converters are still most commonly used in motor vehicle exhaust systems.

its due to the strict EU emission laws la bro

that is correct it can fit but i'm just saying that there isnt akra pipes for the 07 shorty gp pipe style. anyway the 06 ones dun have the cat converter. is cat converter gg to be the way of all future bikes?

damn gian the akra but not nice...

Bros, need some help here. I've already send my bike for full servicing and valve clearance. Yesterday I discovered that after topping up full tank, my reserve light came on only at 168km. Si bey jialat leh the fuel consumption. I've checked with my mechanic and he advised me to fix PC3 which costs $630. :giddy: Are there any other solutions other than fixing PC3? I don't go to the tracks so I don't really see a need for it...

wah 168km then reserve? ur bike got feel extra powerful anot?

1st qns: did u top it to the brim like u always do?

2nd qns: were u extra throttle-happy after u got the bike back?

IMO, the FC is WAY too jialat already.

While a PC3 may help to a certain extent, it shld not be the cure to tis new FC problem.

Meaning, u shld sort out the problem b4 dropping more cash on a PC3

normal should be about 240 - 260 before reserve light come on....

but did u try to see whether izzit really reserve or the reserve switch in the tanks spoil ??

eg. full tank the bike than cruse at a low speed for 10 to 20 km than top up again...

to see how much u need to top up...

or did ur petrol tank leak ??

I didty know that new bike come with 10W40 EO but i do believe ppl wont use that EO for more than 800km , and like what you say i perfer thicker EO, and you generally perfer a thiner EO. And i am not covering up with thicker EO will arrest the clutch slip problem. Wear and tear on clutch plate will also casue clutch clip. But for our slipper clutch, it will just slip even if the clutch plate is not wore out cos our gixxer slipper clutch need to be adjust at every 6k-10k.

The thing you mention is about the clutch housing or basket, and you say it casue by whacking and wheelie, but for now it not happening to mi. i believe you know mi very well and how i whack my bike for the pass 2yr on my K5 and i generally believe i whack harder than you whack on your R6.

And generally i am using 10W50 or 15W50 all the time and only 2 time using 10W40 EO, which i feel that after 3k milage on the 10W40, the 10W40 EO break down, where by the 10W50 can last about 5k.

And for your info, i dun use ELF EO, i am using Fuchs or motorex now.either 15W50 or 10W50.

Other funny thing, met u on sat night, ask you about EO, no reply form u, and onyl tell mi that i am a expert. Come back forums post so many thing. LOL

Let's just stop talking about you and your personal needs for a sec, this is about users in general. Since u clearly stated you recommended any 10W50, this is the example I gave and showed how this is bad advice. You can have your own preference, stated this repeatedly, but that's you. This isn't about you. It is about general consensus.

I compartmentalize my life pretty well, friend time is friend time and ultimately it is about having a good time riding bikes together.

This is about technical facts, here are the facts presented, not something I can tell u in conversation as it will be who shout loudest win. I don't like to shout, I believe any reasonable person can make their own conclusion base on facts. Their choice may also be different based on their perspective and motivation.

You can argue about brand (ie Motorex), but I can tell u it is the same as with the Elf, weak HTHS. FUCHS 15W50 is like Extra 15W50, thick, not everyone likes.

And now, this discussion has moved, predictably, onto who rides harder. So what we comparing? Corner speed? Top speed? How much time spend full throttling? Or how fast you can blast past a 600cc with 50 rwhp lesser in a straight line? For everything we compare, there's just going to be more excuses or difference in your personal opinion on what defines 'harder'.

I don't really care man, you can be as hardcore as you want to make yourself out to be, all I want to do is to advise the consumer on which grade Maxima to try for best result. For the record, I always go 70kmh nia for the sake of any SPF who might be reading.

Halo Bro Aie ,

Adjust fuel supply amount by :-

Press select and reset , turn the key to "ON" and hold for a few seconds ,

screen will show "Analog" .. press select and it will change to "CO"..

press select and reset again for 3 seconds and it will show "C1" then

press select and reset again for 3 seconds and it will show :-

" C1 10(example) "

then press select to reduce the right side figure to about 7 , then press

select and reset again and it show "C1" .. press reset to change to "C2"

and press select and reset again for 3 seconds and it will show :-

" C2 6(example) "

then press select to reduce the right side figure to about 2 , then press

select and reset again and it show "C2" .. then turn your key to off ...

Above stated adjustment will affect your fuel supply from idling to 4k rpm range ... as long as you reduce the figure , the fuel will be leaner ...

Let the good times roll .

Even without PC3 should be ard 240km before light. Don't think you should install PC3. For a mech to suggest install PC3 to solve this problem is rather funny. The mech must have done something for your FC to differ so much before you sent in for servicing.

02/03R1 fueltank holds 17litres and 04 - 06 holds 18litres ... though 168km reserve light on is still ridiculous ...:giddy:

So up to now, you still telling ppl that maxima is good and that other brand oil is not up to standard, i am also talking users in general. You can recommend maxima 5W50 to the user here, and what proof you have that the oil suit our newer bike with slipper clutch best?? Telling mi to ask the 2 ppl you mention before?? so are they not are also using their own preference.

Than you are again saying that fuch pro4 15W50 is thick, but i use the maxima extra before. and it comfirm not as good as the pro4.

And again you will say it mine personal preference, but i am been using it till now ,and my bike is still in great shape, so it that a enough proof for you that i say 15W50 is not thick as what you should say.

Maxima have it good EO , like what you say 5W50, but having saying to here , how many EO company produce 5W50 EO???

So can i say you are promoting maxima 5W50 EO to ppl here.

If that the case , i am fine with that. Dun need to say 10W50 no good lah, 15W50 too thick lah, i am using that 2 grade of EO for almost 2yr.

Than at the end of the say tell ppl to use 5W50 where so many EO company dun produce that grade of EO.
