ok let me give u some tips

1. never open the throttle SUDDENLY on the 2nd/3rd gear at that low rpm (2,5-3k)...coz it will BOG...im sure that rough is a BOG......

2. i start my R1 from stationary,always use 1st gear and always slip the rpm to 3k and then modulate the clutch so it will start smoothly....

3. never ride ur R1 at 3rd gear at that low rpm (2,5k)...u better down shift to 2nd and reach higher rpm...better....

4. its a 1000cc superbike, not a scooter/moped that like low rpm....ride at higher rpm and u can smile....

5. im pretty sure , ur R1 doesnt like be BOGGED by u with that low rpm....

 

simple bro....try to change ur riding style....problem solved

well tats the features of ar rer one.... rough engine, it needs higher than 2 - 3k rpm to be smooth... remember u are not riding big scooter or driving car.. .this bike capable of 13k rpm easily... when u are riding it at 3krpm thats not even half of the capability... the bike will not go smooth... jerky, will not scream out it power, and remember, this is fun bike when ride correctly. r1 built to ride hard, not cruising around with 6gear at 3krpm... tats y many ppl complain r1 hot la... jerky la.. no power la... rough la... cos these ppl are poser.... riding to show off but couldnt stand the cons site... ride the bike as it build for... 299.... may ur angle can chase u

i see. during these few days of riding i also notice if i half clutch rev more i will not have the rough feeling. i just wanted to know if from 3k sudden throttle was an issue or not. and nope im not a poser! i just not sure of the feeling of R1 about the heat issue, im getting use to it already

No stalling problems, low mileage and only been on gentle touring.

 

 

 

I guess it can be overwhelming after getting a spanking new bike. Every noise, vibration or smell will make you think something is wrong with the bike

 

Just a little of experience I had. My bike does seem rough during the run in period but it smoothen out after the 3rd oil change. (either it really did smoothen out or i got used to it).

 

The 07 does not ride well under 4K rpm ie. engine rough and throttle twitchy. Best keep the revs above 4K rpm. The throttle will still be twitchy even after the run-in period.

 

More often when I read about stalling problems on the 07 in this forum, its due to the rider using engine braking to slow down at low rpms. Try to avoid using engine braking under 3K rpms. The sweet 6-pot calipers and Brembo brakes are there for a reason .

 

Try to clock up as much mileage as you can during the warranty period. Any issues can be rectified by HL during the warranty period.

example...cruiser below 4 k, mortard bout 6 k, tourer bout 9-11k, pgm 250 bout 4-5k , super4 bout 5-6k and kapchai kia 2-3 k....... 4+6+11+5+5+3=34 k.... still got balance!!! muahahahaha

40.5 - 34 = 6.5 hhehehehehe this one can use for access.... so i prefer spending 40.5 k to lots of bike then 1..... after all, i am a BIKER.....
