Hi guys, jus wanna know how u guys will do. other den the r1, I have a yamaha x1r cupkia. both bikes r use equally. 1 thing I hate abt the cupkia is damn underpower, slow n unstable at speed 90kmh n above. Infact, 100kph is the most it can go.

So now I'm thinking, sell off cup n get a x9 or x8. Prob is, cup is brand new n only 4 mths old. No installment.

If sell, sure lose big time. Will u get a cheap x9 abt 5-6 yrs old n worry abt the engine condition or will u mod the cup to perform better?

Cup fc is ard 45-50km/L. x9 heard say is 25-30km/L.

I really like the storage space for x8. 1 full face n 2 open face! Cos sometimes I go shoppin for groceries n cup's box can't put in.

Any ideas? x9 ard 2-2.5k, x8 ard 3.75-5k. My cup bought 5.8k, dunno trade in or sell only into shops can get how much....

bro dun sell the kup man... 100kmh nia? i was able to hit 135 on my spark... no mods. u minus off the speedo error, chau chau still got 110 mah..

like what problems you face when you started to ride R1

Throttle happy and your butt can't fully sit on the bike's seat when turning corners. Knees and butt tend to slide out... :lol:

continue to keep the cup cause fuel consumption is good, maintenance is cheap and most importantly its problem free ... unless u can gurantee that the x9 or x8 is problem free, maintenance is cheap or u dont mind these 2 issues at all :angel:

 

Anybody has any review on the latest PIRELLI DIABLO ROSSO as compared to the DIABLO CORSA III ????

 

I am using rosso and had tried corsa before ... i would say that rosso is slightly harder than corsa, therefore the grip is just slightly not as good as corsa :cheeky:

ya hkl is 1 of the cheapest shops locally to get good price for their tyres :smile:

 

it was taken on the 5th Jan 2007 when lo-on organise it. that night was a blow-out, from KKFC, CTE, SLE then "conquering" the dam..haha..yup, those were the days la:cheeky:

 

If i didn't remember wrongly, total of 21 R1s from 98-07 and 2 R6s.

 

er it doesnt matter who organise the outing ... most importantly its down to every individual rider to contribute to make the outing a successful one :thumb:

 

hey .. finally some1 with d same '01 R1 as me..

not many '01 models on the roads hehx...

 

I am also riding an 01 model :smile:

 

today was a milestone for me.... managed to see 10 R1's on the road!! (not all at once.)

sorry if im a mountain tortoise.

 

early morning, went downstairs, saw a nice yellow colour 04 R1 (with very unique tires)

Met my fren and saw his new R1.

saw at least 5 at yishun dam, 1 was blue, probably 07/08

saw 2 04-06 at tpe

saw 2 more at simpang bedok.

 

And a lot more are probably tearing up the sg roads else where..

 

it doesnt matter whether u are mountain tortise or thousand year old tortise .... how fast u can go and maintain that fast speed in singapore :) why not u try to organise 1 outing and we'll be able to experience 10 R1s on the road at the same time side by side :cool:

if u intend to get a pure race machine, go for husqvarna. the only mod u need for this bike is a full system ....

well nobody was the boss .... we just want to have some fun meeting other R1 riders and riding together :smile: not looking for trouble and we certainly do not want any trouble especially from the authorities ...

 

but that night's outing was certainly very nice and fun in a healthy way locally :thumb:
