There's a switch to lock the front suspension on the MP3...

Which means if one wheel is up the kerb and the other down, and u lock it..You can push kerb wheel off and it will remain in that position..

Or kup corner park the bike and lock it, it will lean towards that direction...

Had abit of fun riding my friend's 400cc mp3 around my carpark recently..Heavy bike..

Don't think that a car is easy to maintain.

Besides monthly instalments, you got to pay for

- season parking

- maintenance

- petrol

- annual roadtax/insurance

- casual parking (when you go out)

All of these "hidden costs" will slap you across the face if you don't see them coming.

There're many young fools out there who put zero downpayment and take up a 10 year loan (and some even bigger fools, take cashback on top of that!! o_O ) The interest is so huge that their car remains a negative equity liability all the way to end of COE.

You wanna purchase a $50K car, you better have $15K DP at least, so you loan that 70% or 35K on a 7 years plan without cashback. Then at least your instalments will be in the 400 to 600 region. Even then, you still have to factor in your season parking and petrol and various other parking/ERP/running costs.

Add to that, you have to save up a bit per month to supply your insurance and road tax.

So your $500 a month instalment will add up to a $1000 a month running costs just so you think you'd look good in a not-so-good and oh-so-average 4 wheeler. For that you better take back at least $3500 a month. Unless you're the type who squanders more than 50% of his pay on the car. LOL. Only fools do that.

Still sound good to you, especially when starting salaries are and will be at an all time low for the next couple of years, not to mention pay increments? :thumb:

share share with bro lo =)

Hi, Yeah that would be my old bike... Taylormade full race :-) no not street legal, there was not enough of them brought in make it worthwhile getting them approved, I don't believe there is a official dealer in SG yet, so all are private import

http://www.racetaylormade.com/

http://www.racetaylormade.com/cgibin/suzuki.cgi

for the K81K its $845 plus shipping

I still think it's best best looking pipe out there!!!

The full race is pretty loud, but i never had any problems with the TP.

Cheers

It doesn't matter what the question is, the answer is more power!

that's the thing, i saw the taylormade with carbon and they are selling $845. If it's legal, i'm thinking of bringing it in and have it installed all by myself....doesn't look too difficult to do it....and actually Singapore has a local rep, Taylormade Dealers in Singapore:

07/08 didn't quite live up to its expectations

04-06 lived up to any expectations then?

Ppl who dont own the later models will forever live in denial and claim that their primitive model is still light years ahead in terms of technology, looks etc.

Please... burst that bubble that is shrouding u....

Game?

As in me not replying your PMs?

Well, I don't have any intention ever replying your meaningless PMs

My intention of PM-ing u is of course just to waste ur inbox space. Somehow flooding it does seem like a good idea too.

Out of curiosity, Why do you feel the compelling need to hang around this thread, especially since you have already sold your R1?

In terms of experience of riding R1, you barely have a year of that.

In terms of enthusiasm, you have never made it for any local/track meetups.

In terms of riding kakis, I don't know of anyone here who takes you seriously since you refer to everyone as a "sidekick".

Perhaps SG doesnt have enough cases of fire accidents?

That's why you feel the need to start some fires here, Mr SCDF scholar? :)

Anyway, should you feel the need to continue b itchin here, then go ahead and quote me :D

Ahhh.. just what i've been waiting from you? A full-blast from you. I know u r not gonna hole up for so long.

Didnt know hang ard this thread is only for those who own an R1! Hey DeusExMachina... what the hell are u still doin here in this thread since u hv oredi sold ur R1????????????????????????????? But in many ways, hanging ard in this thread beats hanging ard at KKFC with the likes of u and ur sidekicks... some of them suffering from dwarfinism especially the one who posted few posts back. Haha!

I dont tink anyone can beat u in terms of experience and enthusiasm in owning and riding an R1 here in Singapore. i mean... look at u.. FEW years under ur belt owning an R1... owned ONE R1 so far... took part in MSS COUNTLESS times... cmon.. no one could ever come close with that kind of experience/enthusiasm.

But cannot look down on others ok bo-boy?

But anyway, i believe i would get an adrenaline rush too if i were to disclose all ur personal details here in this thread. :thumb:

share share with bro lo =)

Whatever it is, just make sure your salaries can support it comfortably, while still enabling you to save $$ for rainy day, eat properly, and live normally.... and not scrimp and save just to pay for the car.

The car is not your life. It's just a mode of transport. You can't eat it.

Best you work for a year first before buying one.

Is a car THAT important to all the young ppl these days that they will find all ways and means to scrimp, and conjure up all sorts of reasons, just to justify owning one??

I'm here to watch dramas and movies.

And also to shoot the breeze, poke fun at the occasional idiot, make KKFC jokes, and see ex- & current R1 riders tear each other apart.

But I like your idea of spamming/wasting ppl's inbox space.
