Mornin to all R1 riders out there... I've got a little query, n i hope some of you out there could share around some wisdom... I've been riding close to ten years now, of which after getting married, i went to "UNCLE" mode in the past 3 years riding an ST11... The Mrs isnt a fan of "motor tongekz"... However recently the sportsbike BUG had bit me once again after many years... To be honest the R1 BUG actually... Im abt 1.82m tall wif long limbs & arnd 80kg, so im not sure how i would fit the bike or how would the bike fit me... My question here is, is there anywhere i can actually rent out an R1 for a week or 2 just to give it a try?? The problem is i dun have any friends riding 1.. Based on my personal experience i dun wish to fork out money to buy something that i might regret buying in just a couple of weeks or months, again... Btw, thks in advance...

 

P.S. Im still young, both at heart n in age.... ;-)

 

I too ard 1.8m and 79kg... R1 fit perfectly.

But 07 is a bit incline fwd...which is bad of old posers like me.

However, 09 has a better riding position and more comfortable.

big bike seller here in my country indonesia, today offer me an used 07 GSXR1000.

he said it come from singapore, he also said the bike is burn at police chasing

i dunno he bluff or real. honestly im interested, the original colour is black

now he buy new fairing

the thing i want to know, someone here know there is a burn k7 there..?? if yes, how much the damage..?? the seller told me the burned thing is the tail section only

is it really caused by police chase or what...???

its the brake pads bro, unless your brake disk is too big and is rubbing against your brake caliper...

I have been hearing and discouraged by my friends that for the EFI models, the down side is the TPS problem. Does the older models or the carb models have this problem too? Please advise.

Errr if u all didnt sign any documents to "lock" in the OTR price, u all may get a discount and bargain... YEN drop till $1.52 from $1.67.. might be a bit better to wait ...
