Bro fyi, my fren age 23 got his in 2008 dec from bikepro. 24.5k OTR with insurance. i paid 25k otr in sept 08. also 23yrs old. Just for a rough gauge.

 

my coe was 1.5k, insurance 2k, total 3.5k. so if u take away that, machine price is 21.5k.

i used to ride around short distances without silencer, till one day i spotted 2 tp prowling the small roads.

 

i have been doing it since day 1 ever since i installed my pipe

I bought mine in Dec 07 @ $24.1K all in with insurance of $1.4K and COE of $889. I was 25+ yrs of age.

depends... TPs normally will not notice but hard to get away from the sharp eyes of the ROVs.

TPS, but that can be solved, no issue.

Just get the bike and enjoy your ride.

Underseat tend to get hot easily due to the catalyst in the y pipe.

Removing the catalyst or change to aftermarket y pipe will solve the problem, throttle will feel lighter too due to no "obstruction".

basically the R1s ( even the 04 model onwards ) do not have any major problems. The only setback with the underseat exhaust is that it is hot but like what they say, changing to aftermarket cat will lessen the heat. Therefore not recommended to wear bermudus to ride your bike.

lacing can be compliance and non-compliance. What i recommend is the compliance type which means go acarde to race non-compliance type will have to be done at malaysia
