the cheapest i found was $195 at republic motor.

 

intro u all 1 shop.. the shop opp republic motor forgotten the name which only major in bike repair offer good price also. timing tensionel cost $98 include installation compare to $120 from outside...

thanks for all the info bro ! i did mine at unique , total damage , $540 including changing of rect @ $185 , coil (forget the price), gasket and workmanship. Got a free H7 Super white xenon bulb haha !

bro, this one very subjective matter. it depends on individual stability and finances. all of us will want and love to have a new first hand class2 bike, but my advise is to commit to sumthing that's affordable to u, and only u will know what's affordable to u. i speak only based on facts and this is just my opinion. some may agree some may not. cheers.

 

but if u really seek an answer with figures, down 7k and above and depending on how much u can afford each mth tie on for 2 to 5yrs would be my advice. sumthing u can breakeven not too long.

totally agree.. some ppl cant afford but die die pull out one gsxr in the end gotta scrimp and save on food and other expenses just to make ends meet.... poor thing...

its like, if you bike a bike today at $25,000, and decide to sell it tomorrow, bike shop cannot give you $24,000 or even $23,000. It will be about $20 or $21K... get the point? market price will determine the breakeven point of the bike, there is usually a formula for it. it's based on depreciation i believe.

and also, for most ppl, breakeven also means for example like shark mentioned u bought at 25k. one year later u decide to sell...and market price shop will only give u 20k, if u push back to shop and u have to top-up cash cos ur loan still left more than 20k, then u havent breakeven. if u push back and u take back 1k or no money involve then breakeven already. sumthing like that. and yes u're correct, automotive is an expense...cos u never gonna make money. unlike property

oh damm , got my bike back last night , during a night outing , battery suddenly die off again , manage to get it push start and ride. Most probbally is my battery problem. guys , pls make sure whenever your change your rect , remember to change a new battery too !

ah xiong... don worry.. your bike wil be alright aft changing the batt... i face the same problem few months ago... changin onli the rect n the coil... but bnit the batt... =)) CHEERS!!!~
