sry for not searching the thread first as this is a quick question for my friend who doesnt have a computer at home to play with.

my friend rides a K5 GSXR-1000. He bought it 2nd hand and it was with PC III.

If he wants to change the idling rpm, what is the correct way to do it?

electronically or mechanically?

steps by steps on how to do so will be great as i can help to let him know better.

If electronically, i guess it would be bukit merah? how much?

should be mechanically, i did it on a GSR600, there is the normal idling and fast idling screw at the left side of the bike under the tank.

Should be the same for gsxr but i nv really explore it as there is no need to adjust mine.

As what i know rpm idling u need to mechanically as what sparker say under the tank left side as for pc3 u need to plug ur pc3 to a computer using a cable camera usb alike...and from there u can adjust ur pc3 to have low end or more to top end make sure u download the application first into ur comp i used to have a pc3 installed i did once tuning at hkl for 160 but frankly to me its a waste if money as u could do it urself

Hi friends.. Im a noob here.. Just bought a k8 750 n fitted w arrow pipe.. Bt e sound isnt fierce to me, its like too soft to me.. 1 bike shop recomend me to change e mid pipe bt its a custom made midpipe by e shop itself.. Bt will changing midpipe affect e performance of e pipe, do i need to do any tuning or go for dyno once midpipe is changed?.. Need some advise friend.

Posted

Bro if u want loud pipe buy a full system than fuel injection system example bazzaz or power commander

Hmm.. So by changing e midpipe will e sound improve bro?.. Does it need any setting or tuning once e midpipe hv been change fer example going for dyno?.

Posted

Changing the midpipe will risk of getting fined for exhaust system tampering.

Might not pass the yearly inspection as well.

Definity will be louder but u decide if it's worth the risk.

FC might be worst as bike running lean wif midpipe unless fixed wif bazzaz or powercommander to fine tune the A/F ratio for maximum performance. A dyno-run is required to produce a mapping to be loaded into the PC.
