I bet it gonna be pricey, look at the stuff they threw in the bike... Pro-link suspension, PGM-Fi, C-ABS...

So long there's more and more demand for 250cc I believe manufacturers would be most willing to update and push more of those baby in the market. LOL, who knows Yammie and Suzu might in for the race of 250cc sports. 250cc would be nice for some riders, its light weight, relatively good power and ease on maintenance. Seriously, not all prefer a 400cc motorcycle. :)

It's a good zip-around town bike if u have no intention to travel up north to Thailand etc. 12K OTR. I jus ordered mine 2 days ago. Am riding a FZ8-S now and hardly use as I drive to work too. :). My FZ is only 9 mths old and less than 6000km done. Never been ridden in the rain or left in the rain when parked..always covered. The only gripe about this bike is the sound of the exhaust,,single cylinder :( sound is really chia-lak! The rest of the body works looks great,

I was looking at the SPec III and the 2ndhand price is ridiculous. Now that this good looking CBN%250R dude came along, the high priced 400 Spec III can shaft it up their

ass. After paying cash for the CBR250R, I still hv balance to accessorise the bikie. WHy buy 2ndhand when u can get it new and it suits your needs.

Just got mine today..still in running in process..handling wise is not bad. Just that the front suspension is abit high..need to down fork at least 1.5inch. Overall performance is quite good..

Why the F should they phase out or ban 2 strokers when they deliver more power for lesser weight than 4 strokes?

UPS! i suspect the real reason is the bike companies prefer to sell bigger cc bikes ( better profit margin ) & since the ang-mos seem to love bigger cc bikes, sometimes a bike sells better simply because it has a bigger number on the name of the bike. :p

smoke? can be reduced...2-stroke technology ( outside racing & scramblers ) has NOT been developed / improved for 15 years...250cc 2-stroke compared with a 20-yr old 1L ~ 1300cc 4-stroke bike with carb ( NO modern day EFI for better FC & smoke emissions & latest technology low-smoke exhaust pipes ) or a old big Diesel lorry or big cc SUV WITHOUT modern day EFIs ?

if they had chosen to develop 2-stroke technology in the last 15 years, i think improvements in smoke & Fuel efficiency could have been achieved, right ? they do that for speed boats...o_O

it is just a matter of choice...they could just limit new 2-strokes to twin 250cc...no need for 350cc / 500cc. If 250cc still no enough, get 600cc & above 4-stroker lah! :p

case-in-point: FROM SPECS of 4-strokes CBR250R & Ninja250R, their FC & performance is not that different from a 150cc 2-stroke bike...but 250cc > 150cc ( number is bigger ) of course. :p

FC 250 4T single cylinder should have better FC than a 2 stroker 150cc, performance, the 2T 150 will accelerate harder than a 250cc 4T, top end, 200, 220 would be the speedo reading.

i got my FC conclusions from the info from the specifications of both the honda & kawa 4-strokers, which is usually a slight "boast" in "perfect ideal conditions" ( ie. constant cruise speed top gear on long clear highway best ever result etc etc. )

i got my performance conclusions from malaysian & indonesian riders who have both kinds of bikes in their markets. They said even the twin cylinder Ninja is NOT faster than the 2t 150cc & the new single cylinder CBR250R specifications are already "lower" than it's twin competitor, so...if a

maybe a twister 250 or a slower 4-stroke 250 may have better FC , who knows?

Just imagine, i don't think these 4T 250cc can be any faster ( pick-up & top end ) than CB-400, right ? i also don't think their FC can be better than our usual 4T 2b bikes like Tiger200, FZ150, CBF150 or R15 or CBR150R, right ? so in the end, i guess should be all around the same as a 2b 2-stroker, agar agar more or less lah...

being a single cylinder, maintain / service / repairs should be cheaper than S4 of course, but i doubt any cheaper than 2b 4stroke or 2-stroke included. in addition, the sales volume of 250cc are usually lower than 2b or S4 due to sg's licence system. Maybe in another country with 250cc limit instead of 200cc, these 250cc will be more popular thus making parts more widely available, however hard to see that happen in sg as long as our system remains unchanged

I wonder how much it cost you?

So long the machine can cruise @ 120+km/hr easily should be enough...

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

I think the only way for the 250cc market to pick up among class2a users is to make machine price lower man. albeit higher COE price dont really help 1 bit. i nearly wanted to wait it out and get the cbr250r but at 10K, i can get a s4 for even lower :)

Hell can get a ZXR4 and do it up back to speed plus accesories.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.
