The thing is that my forks were rebuilt after a low speed accident last year in January last year. New triple tree, new inner forks, if i am not wrong. Is it time to be serviced?

Where can i get the crash bar for ybr?

Order online bah. Sg I think u need to custom make. Or find those 2nd hand cisco YBR on sale at the shops and ask to buy the bars for a price.

2004 ybr but coe till early 2015. Selling at 1.5k. Mileage 30k km. Owner is uncle. Good deal?

must see the Bike. hear the engine and check the electronics espeacially the coil. But 30k mileage is good. COE also must take into account. 2 years COE bike is normal la for this price. reasonable price la. But engine if spoil overhaul is around 400-600. so do ur maths and decide.

YBR fuel consumption is low. like kup. but with 11l tank. and nicer handling with a motorcycle feel . hardyness i think kup still win. But YBR is overall a cheap and low maintainance bike if u take care of the oil changes. Only thing is the coil. If u sway ur bike coil keep replacing. But if lucky bike, nothing to change. Cause china the QC sux.

You coil how often change? Mine is every 2 years... Sad.... I ask the spare parts uncle, he say its normal for YBR because its air cooled and the coil is sitting in the engine oil. So being air cooled and all, start/stop riding, the coil's life is reduced. Coupled with the fact that it is made in china. Argh.

Must take care la. I every 800-1000k change engine oil. Change to silkolene 15w 50. Thicker oil for old air cooled engines is better. If I ride hard that month. I change earlier. But if u do alot of stop go trips in the day. change to thinner oil like 10w 40 will run cooler. Aiya. alot cheaper than other bikes already la. No coolant, cheaper parts, save petrol, cheap insurance, cheaper tyre size.

For air cooled 1l engine oil capacity bikes with no oil filter. Dont scrimp on the oil la. You can buy cheap brands and change often. It is cheap insurance for ur engine.

Coil its my first time changing after i bought the bike a year and a half ago. Plus when open the casing. The seals can see never open before and the coil is original. So should be never change before for 6 year bike. Not bad le la. Only if we know how to change coil ourselves. Ying hai says he bought a LAB for $65 only and change himself.

I change 6 times one year... Change myself 65.. Ask shop change 150-200..

Ok just bought over the bike. Now one problem. How do i open up the seat? Cant find any keyhole. I asked the uncle he also dont know. He never opened it before. *slap forehead*

i think i'm in love with a Bol'dor.

haha! the seat is not like kup like that can easy open de la. You thought can store alot of things inside...

Sorry to disappoint. The seat is held on by two bolts by the side. u gotta open the the side covers to access it. then unscrew the two bolts. Then the seat will come off. And there is not much space for anything at all!

Maybe after knowing this u also wont open the seat during your period of owning the bike. :dozed:

You need to open the seat to remove the tank...

Buy original one from yamaha/chong aik...at least 2yrs can last...

Local coil last longer than the two ori coils that i bought.. It doesnt make much difference between all the mades.. Its how you stress them..

@Vqz - why do u need spare tank? u get caught from LTA?

@Ying hai- How do u stress the coils? Heat? U know how to put oil cooler on YBR? I've seen on websites ppl doing.

Posted
Wah if can oil cool the ybr than can run leaner and get more power hor. and coil wont so fast spoil.

There are other cheaper ways to keep the engine cool, like exhaust heat wrap and oil breather system.

Slownsteady congrats on ur ybr buy, good choice :). To put more stuff just mount e21 side panniers, will look nice
