Hi guys thanks for viewing or even reply, I'm looking forward to own a yamaha r1 2010. Singapore has alot of bike shop selling them and I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a really reasonable and trustworthy bike shop for loan.

Some things I would prefer:

- no early settlement

- low interest rate

- no hidden cost

- would not exchange any parts of the bike with after market crab.

Actually there's alot of things to implement but just looking for a really trustworthy and reasonable bike shop.

Thanks.

IMO everyone has their own preference, no 1 shop has no complains at all.. i would say go to a few shops, ask them to list down the prices in detail, down to the price b4 gst, den decide which shop to buy from.. :)

SOrry just to add on to a rather an aged thread,

For your criteria, can also try Universal Motors at Alexandra Village (Opposite QW shopping center/AIA building)

Look for David, I am not affiliated or gain any monetary benefits from them, I bought my first bike from them,

- no early settlement

(They will in fact pay you the interest if you settle early, but please check with David)

- low interest rate

(Interest rate is at 8%, not exactly cheap, but in no way is it altered when you are about to sign)

- no hidden cost

(He will draw out all the relevant charges and explain in detail, if not sure can ask him. When you see is what you pay)

- would not exchange any parts of the bike with after market crab. (I bought a 2nd hand bike from them no problem)

Just to add on, do not be afraid to explain your financial position to him, he is honest (imho) and will advise accordingly, case in point:

When i wanted to trade in my bike for another bike, I firstly wanted full loan (Which they don't do), up to 80-90% there abouts... But he said he'd ask his boss for me because I've been up to date with my installments

+ Tried to help me in every way possible beyond his job scope

After explaining my situation to him he advised AGAINST going ahead with the trade in because I would lose a lot of money just trading in my bike

+ Against his own benefits

Interesting.... you might want to check it out, haven't really seen an R1 there though.

ASPhoon has no early repayment penalty but in e middle of e loan suddenly u can pay settlement they wont reduce the interest calculated at e beginning for eg at e 2nd year means u mus pay 3 yrs interest ,,.....

there are many bike shops in sg that has huge reputation but fail to live up to them.. i will seriously advice you to do some homework like going down to visit a few bike shops before deciding.. let the salesperson breakdown every single costing to you ...

BP bikes are cheap.. but their after sales is....

ASPHOON is slightly more expensive however their customer service is excellent..

Maybe you should call up on hongleong motors and as about the machine price for r1 2010 first to have a good gauge of how much it is going to cost u .. then add up ur loan, interest, otr .. that should give you ur expected pricing for the bike..

Selling Fanciful and Vintage Helmets. Interested pls Pm me!

Interesting. When I settled my HP early with ASP, they gave me a rebate on outstanding loan amount & interest.

everyshop has its own pros & cons la, some more cons and conmen, haha

imo, if u're paying full cash, just find the cheapest shop lor...tt'll depend on your bargaining, but be careful of hidden cost. Some shops are famous for being ambiguous about their pricing...CAREFUL!

if u're taking loan, int rate dun matter much to me unless it's >7% (alarming isn't it)

what's more impt, imo, is the flexibility to Transfer Ownership and No Early Repayment Penalty

ASPhoon scores in this area... I think Heng motors has no ERP too...
