Hi bikers, recently i bought an old bike from a friend. It is a super ver S. Its full tank only able to travel for 230km. Isit usual? Cos i heard the usual is ard 300+ km..

 

I was wondering if it is the carburetor problem which i have not been servicing for a long time.. Please advise.

It does seem unusual. Carb settings may play a part although this is best left to an experienced mechanic to diagnose. Planet Motors does a good job at this type of thing (settling the bad FC complaint) and they are located at Ubi Rd 1.

 

I have road tested an 'old super four' as well (though, more recent model than Version S) and the range was about 400km (!!) thanks to certain practical modifications coupled with very disciplined throttle control. While there is no guarantee all CB400s can get that sort of range, it's a safe bet you should be able to get somewhere above the 300 range!
