I decided to lay up my bike as I don't think it's worth to repair it anymore

it breaks down in Malaysia and currently in Malaysia

I read that you need to let LTA know where's the bike,it is now in my friend's house in Johor should I write that in the form?

anyone care to share their experience?

thanks

you cant put malaysian address to LTA..

at least put friendly local bike shop's address and inform the bike shop if anyone come and ask, they can give smart answer.

someone done before.

*it's not advisory.. i'm just letting you know what i heard from friends..

"breaksdown in Malaysia n it's worth to repair it anymore" n "want to lay up" ???????

Lay up ur bike only can refund insurance & road tax..

Y not report loss..n de-registered her = refund COE too???

report loss and deregister is different issues.

if you report lost, number plate will be passed to Singapore police to Malaysian police and they can detain you anytime as stolen vehicle.

de-register is more safer way..

If you put own address, won't you put yourself in trouble if they cannot find the bike? Yes they do their roundings and checks. You are not suppose to move the vehicle without their knowledge.

The best is juz de-register the bike. Safest solution I guess. Like the saying "Pandai Pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga".....translate......no matter how good a squirl jumps, one day sure to fall to the ground.

To de-register a vehicle you need to show proof that it has been scrapped or exported.

Once a vehicle is de-registered, it cannot be re-registered.

There many illegal ways to keep a singapore registered vehicle in Malaysia but let's not start you on this slippery slope :(
