Hi anyone have any ideas or recommendations.

Im looking for a used bike which is leaning towards

1)pillion comfort

2)riding posture suitable for distance riding - i travel about 60-70+ KM a day

3)Suitable for track riding - need not be at a sportbike's level though

4)priced at 3-3.5k

5)class 2A

which i think kind of rules out sportsbikes or scrams

kinda want to avoid super 4 as i feel the price is exp, for 3.5 i probably can only get an old ver S or PB1 (with coe renewed)

im trying to look for other makes of jap streetbikes like suzuki's SV400, impulse 400, bandit 4 or yammie's XJR 400, but the search has been very fruitless and hard to find them for sale, but i like these as they are cheap @ 2k+ coe renewed, and i can use the extra cash on hand to fix wear and tear.

wonder if any forumners could suggest other bikes.

1) almost all bikes are pillion friendly, unless they come stock single seater. so, if you are referring to pillion comfort, then i suppose sportsbikes and scrams are relatively uncomfy for pillion.

2) i suppose every 2a bike is good for expressway here.

3) pple will tell you, "if you really want to track, any bike also can track."

i sold my hyper vtec for slightly more than 3k only. there's the hornet 250 that you can consider, but like the rest you have mentioned, its not easy to find them on sale.

so, your best option is super4.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

1)yup, i was meaning pillion comfort - friendly to the pillion , thanks for clarification.

2)more emphasis on comfort for distance riding actually - rider comfort.

3)yup i agree, any bike can go track :), however wanted to eliminate maxi scoots and cruisers from recommendations, sure they can go track, but its just not as fun - i THINK - as street/sports/motards. i have tracked on my H250, looking for something similar to have track fun.

actually i am riding a hornet 250, but passing it to my bro, trying other bikes.

regarding your s4, thats a good price.. did u renew your coe? i could find 3+ k vtec 1's however with coe dying in 1 year or maybe 1.5 year. and with the 1.5k coe price now, that is out of my budget..

anyway thanks for input, have refined my first post

guess theres translap or kle? wonder if the bikes are suitable, any ex riders with input? seen all rounders like versys do well on tracks, though i think the former 2 are more dirt biased

abit off topic, but wanted to share this, really cool versys at the famous Cadwell Park.

skilled rider, confident on the brakes and takes very aggressive overtaking lines, overtaking supersports on a versys with 2nd hand bt090 tyres..

you are already riding a hornet250? that's good! but due to your budget constraint, i dont think you are able to get bikes like gsr or drz.

no i didnt renew my coe, but it came good aftermarket rear suspensions good for track.

probably have to increase your budget so you can get a newer s4 if you dont wish to pay for coe. got to ask yourself how long will you ride this bike.

yea ur right dude, if i had cash those would be the 2 i would consider .

but i guess ur right, maybe find a good deal spec 1 with budget increase, or at least settle for a good cond ver S, there should be some out there that are well maintained.

parts won't be such a headache too

thanks for the help :)
