Need some advise about bobber fender

I was thinking to chop and change my rear fender to bobber style. But I'm a little unsure if it is rigid enough for my pillion to sit on it. Don't want half way through my journey and found out that my pillion is missing..

Better not pillion on the fender, unless you very sure the mounting is very strong. It is not the quality of the fender but the toughness of the mounting.

You can always have a chopped fender mounted on the frame... Sacrifice a little on the looks in a way for that chic you got, ultimately it's worth it

Yeah, need a frame for pillion seat. Only fender is not enough.

Frame for pillion seat? U mean like from the stock frame? So you guys who convert to a bobber rear fender not pillion anyone?

'Bobber' fender is too vague... Think you meant those hugger fenders like in Terrible One's signature. In which case, yes they do have seats for such setups, but it has to be done with very careful planning and workmanship, but IMO it ultimately -will- fail, just a matter of time. I did have this predicament some time ago, ultimately i chose a chopped fender mounted on frame as i almost always ride 2 up.

I made a removable subframe for the pillion seat.. Ugly when it's on but at least can pillion

Same concept as the Harley rocker...since the rocker rear fender being so close to the tires...

Hmm...wasn't good with the law for my previous bikes(not choppers)...if I like it I'll do it...that's Just me...
