BMW's today has too much electronics imho. yeah they are bling etc but do we really need that kind of stuff?

For me the r1100's are the best. they moved it up a notch from the airheads but were still relatively simple with the required amount of technology.

All current crop are just a showcase of their abilities to pack in as much technology into a frame that sits on 2 wheels.

I flogged my K11RS as its was just to much for S'pore roads, i would love a K12RS but again i think there's too much stuff in it. More inclined on an R11R/GS/S at some point in time.

For those who would like to get a BMW, you must be aware that you are getting a high tech piece of kit but that will come at a price as it something goes wrong, you are going to have to pay to get that sorted. You cannot compare a BMW to a Fazer/Super 4, its way more complicated and hence will definately cost more to fix.

The other issue we have here is that in S'pore customer service from almost every single dealership sucks for almost all products, unless you are willing pay shite loads for that service. PML can and will fix your bike but you need to be prepared to pay! While i agree that they should cover PI bikes as they ARE the BMW dealers, its up to the local management on how they handle it, i feel they are silly and turning away business.

Also please expect a higher bill on bike maintanence if you are getting a race related machine or a high tech bike. That said, my K only costs me engine/gearbox/shaft oil and a radiator flush on maintanence while i had her.

On all matters, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Yeah bro its a good product, had installed the non-extended version on my R1150GS really value for money.

Did contemplated on dynojet PC, Booster Plug and Power FRK but decided to try the Accelerator.

After a week of testing with the Extended Vision of the Accelerator Module fitted on my 08 GSA wanted to share that the results were very good.

Personally i highly recommend this for b/m performance benefit to overcome the Lean Fuel Mixture especially if a full exhaust system is fitted:

1. Smoother idling on cold start up.

2. Better throttle respond.

3. Smoother and Stronger Acceleration.

4. Notice lower engine operating Temp.

5. Exhaust POPPING tremendously reduced from Loud to occasional faint popping for full exhaust system with K&N air filter.

Since it a Plug and Play, it's very easy to revert but to original.

Basically in a nutshell, this device works by deceiving the ECU that the ambient air temp is minus 20 degree from actual temp so more fuel will be needed to be injected.

Dear Friends,

My bike was knocked down by a reversing car in the carpark, no visible damage excecpt some scratches on the panniers and cylinder cover guard (lucky).

Just to check, do I need to worry about engine oil out getting into airbox or anywhere not suppose to? Went for a test ride so far so good.

Anyone had similiar experience?

THanks

Eh, that looks pretty good, no? What were you getting out of the single cylinder?

Do you need to fill up a form in their website before heading down to their office?

Yes, you will nee to fill up the online form before heading down to their office and they will make sure you have entered the country more then twice a month otherwise they may reject the application.

I think most of us here are fine.

It takes about 30-45 mins to get the MAC pass done. But you got to explain to the customs up North about this as they may chop your passport when you get out of Msia. When you did not get an entry chop down in JB.

So be careful and watch out as their hands are pretty fast if you are not watching.

Just a heads up in case there's a dispute. The guys up north arent familiar with the MAC pass.

That's what happen to few riders having problems coming from Bukit Kayu Hitam Checkpoint to Sultan Abu Bakar Checkpoint. Even with MAC done, the customs at Buki Kayu Hitam still chop their passports.

After a long explanation and ding dong ding dong, they managed to get through the customs and back to SGP. Just for sharing.:thumb:
