Haha... Good to know I am not alone.. Was wondering why I so wishy washy this time round. I am 1.8m tall and weighs 98kg... So I meant the GSA suits my size better also other than looks.

 

Does Matt grey for F800 comes with the "GS" logo? Anyone knows?

Cos they are not there according to the pic in the brochure

 

Graphitan F800GS, the F800GS words is on the word, above the air intake. For Trophy & Triple Black, there's a big "GS" wording on the side of the tank.

Yupz, if 2up, then GSA, the 800GS looks uncomfy for pillion unless pillion likes sticking to the rider...haha.

But other than that, i think 1.8m is perfect for 800GS too.... not necessary just GSA isnt it? Although I agree, the Magma red is very attractive color scheme.

 

Personally, i find the F800GS looks nicer for certain color scheme. But GSA hv a more majestic look. So in the end, it comes down to cost reason

Im standing at 1.71 and riding a GSA. Just slight tip toe on standard seat heigt. Personally i feel its not a problem. Well the seats can be adjusted as standard or low.

At low, both my feet are flat on the ground. But i didn't like it though, dun ask me why cos i dun know myself.

Yes he's open.. But he one man show lah. He is his own boss so up to him if feels like opening or closed hahaha.

Perhaps what u can do is to head to the bike shop together with ur lady and sit on both the bikes as a rider and passenger. Well thats where u can compare in terms of comfort if u gonn be 2 up most of the time.

And after tat the price comparison. Both bikes are good, nimble but serve just slightly a different purpose. And a solo or a 2 up do play a part in some areas.

Has anyone installed Navigator IV on a GSA? I installed mine myself but the unit goes off on its own for no reason. The Navi IV is just 3 days old and the bike just 30 days old.

 

Any bright ideas?

Depends on your inseam. I'm 1.75, 32" in-seam. very ok with 1200GS (slight tip-toe). ok with 800gs (high tip-toe). but have problem tipping over the GSA.

But note 800gs is higher seat than GSA. The problem is the weight of GSA. But with effort and good bike control, yes, can ride the GSA although pushing it around on the bike and tipping over can be tough.

 

Some bros recommend getting off bike to push it around but I don't have this habit.

I'm waiting for my F650gs to arrive by end of the month bro... IMHO, spending such amount of money on a bike with reputation of being costly (at least to me), I would prefer to have everything done by the agent...
